I seem to be having an issue with the "Training Videos" pages, the videos don't load for me.. Can't even see the video thumbnail, so it's not "clickabl
HAHAHAHA, I just found this on java.com:
"In Windows 10, the Edge browser does not support plug-ins and therefore will not run Java. Switch to a different browser (Internet Explorer, for example) to run the Java plug-in. Select the More Actions option located at the top right of the Edge browser and click on Open with Internet Explorer. More info"
Typical Microsoft, not supporting an industry standard.... =/
Looking at the source code for some of the other video pages on the site, I noticed that some of them seem to be loaded with JavaScript code, I'll try to reinstall the Java Runtime Components on this box, see if that helps. Can't think of anything else to try at the moment. =/
This is so weird... I installed the 64-bit JRE, fired up Chrome, and am STILL having the same issue: no videos, no thumbnails. It might be one of my Browser Extensions blocking the JAVA from running at all, I'll mess with it some more after I've eaten. =P
Do you have Java enabled within Chrome’s Settings? And have you checked in IE’s Internet Options? Do you have a Browser Popup Blocker? Which Antivirus are you using?
Thanks for helping Chrystopher but I -just now- figured it out. Not only did I need to
1) Manually install the 64-bit JRE as I am using 64-bit browsers,
(it's an ~80Mb "offline installer" file you can find on java.com)
but also
2) Switch to Chrome since i found out "MicroSoft Edge" doesn't support plugins and there for won't run JAVA applets or scripts,
I had to also
3) "Trust" the WeatlhyAffiliate site in one of my browser extensions (called Ghostery, highly recommended if you value your online privacy), that was disabling "tracking" on the site and preventing JavaScript from running at all due to there being "tracking" on the site/page.
So, ISSUE RESOLVED, finally, and thanks for your assistance!
Hopefully, if anyone else runs into similar problems, this thread can at least point them in the right direction. =)

Great to hear that your issue is now resolved :-) I’m just wondering though whether this would have worked with only steps 2 & 3 without doing step 1. As I haven’t heard of members having to install Java to use Wealthy Affiliate. So I’m thinking it was your plugin that was the main issue?
Probably the plugin/extension and the browser combination. And yes, you are correct, the full JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is usually only needed for applets/plugins, not JavaScript (which the W.A. site uses extensively).
What's weird is, I don't have that extension in "MS Edge" and that's where I first noticed the problem. It's Microsoft, so I'm not at all surprised though, haha.

Something just dawned on me...
Since this is a fresh install of Windows 10, and Windows doesn't natively support JAVA, it has to be manually installed, something occurred to me when troubleshooting the issue.
1) The W.A. site uses a lot of JavaScript, so JAVA and the JRE is obviously needed for it to function properly.
2) Upon visiting java.com to reinstall the JRE, I noticed something: By default, the web installer ONLY installs the 32-bit version of the JRE (Java Runtime Environment), so if you run a 64-bit OS and 64-bit applications, you need to download the separate, offline installer, for the 64-bit JRE. (https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)
3) Apparently, the "Microsoft Edge" browser I was using, doesn't support JAVA at all, so I am switching back to Chrome for now.
I pray that this resolves the issue I am having with videos not loading here. =)
