My First Month at WA

Hey Fam!

So it's been a month since I joined this wonderful community, and I couldn't be happier.

Like most people, I have always wanted a job where I could make my own hours and work from the comfort of my own home... I mean wouldn't you? ... But we live in a society that taught us to be Conventional. Secure. Safe.

I worked in a corporate environment for 9 years out of college, for a resort company doing Marketing. It was OK. I had full benefits, a 401k, PTO, and a great team of people that I worked with. But the hours sucked and I had to work every weekend and holidays.

But I had wanted this life since I was young. I wanted to travel the world, so what a better way than to go to school for Hospitality Management and get amazing deals to travel?! Wrong. They work you so much that you rarely even have time to go travel, and it's never on holidays or when the rest of your family can take off of work.

There has to be something better. More fulfilling.

Every so often I would scour the internet for remote jobs. People do it. I can do it.

I was finding most options were either being a travel agent (and you must work nights, weekends and holidays) or computer coding.

OK, I'm smart. I can learn a coding language.

Nope, not for me.

Then I stumbled upon El-Jefe-Kyle's blog about Affiliate Marketing. How have I not known about this before? I can do marketing! I actually like to market products that I can really stand behind. What I didn't know was online marketing, and how much work actually goes in to setting something successful up.

And I do still work a full time job. I work for a local radio station selling ads and doing production. The great thing is that it is very flexible and allows me to jump on WA for 15-20 mins at a time throughout the day. In the first month I have been able to complete the first 2 lessons of the training. I feel like I have learned A LOT. I have gotten my first website up and running, and feel that I am on a good pace.

I knew coming into this territory that I would make sure that I act with integrity the whole way. I don't want to pick a niche that is 'popular' and will 'make me the most money FAST'. I vow with my websites that I will choose niches that have a greater cause. Will help people or the environment. There are many income opportunities within these niches, and also a message. I also believe that this is the way of the future. Spread positivity and breed awareness. I mean, just look at what Greta is doing!!

I have felt fully embraced by the community here at WA. To all of you, I say Thank you.

And for all the people that are newer than I am, here is my advice to you: Trust in the system and follow the trainings step-by-step. Don't skip anything, and don't think your above any of this. Kyle and Carson have created a very special platform for all of us to communicate, learn and grow. (Thanks, Guys!)

My husband has recently taken a traveling job to build mountain bike trails. My only focus is selling the house and getting on the road with him. WA gave me a foundation with endless possibilities. It is up to me now to put in the time and the work to actually be successful at this. If people are making $4,000/mo then so will I!

To anyone that is reading this, Thank you. I hope that you can share your story with me and how it was in the beginning for you. When did your website take off? When did you start seeing passive income? HOW MUCH passive income are you seeing?

And if you want to check out my first website, it's:

Feel free to comment on how you are making a difference :)

I look forward to being connected and watching you all grow and succeed!

Hi Ashley! We have so much in common!

I've worked in hotels and restaurants my entire adult life and know exactly what it is to always work weekends and holidays. The pay was good, but I missed all the important things like christmas and birthdays and it really takes a toll on you.

I love animals and consequently the environment and so I am also planning on creating websites in niches with a message.

I know you're going to succeed!

Wish you all the best!

Lari

Wow, it's almost like I am in the same boat as you are. I just switched to premium, work on average 60 hours a week, and want something different. Even with your husband making trails...that is awesome as I have don't that in the past (mountain bike ridder and roddie) and is so much fun! This community is truly amazing and so cool there are many making the same switch. Who would have thought working would be exciting. Hope you the best of luck!

Thanks! You've been here a little less than a week now and I hope training is truckin' right along for you. Let me know if you have any questions about anything. I look forward to following your journey here! It's truly an amazing community and platform.

Cheers to Winning!
Ash

Huge congrats for achieving what you have so far. It’s a measure of the person when content and their web site is altruistic, hopefully you will continue in the same vein and I really look forward to seeing your progress.

Great post by the way, as someone already mentioned, hugely motivational and in particular to the newbies, (actually even the old timers... ha ha )

Great progress. You will do wonderful. I wish you much success.
Have a great week,
Mickey

Wow, Ashley, I would say you are doing great after only 1 month.

I took a look at your website and it is very impressive and should educate everyone on the hazards of plastic straws.

Best wishes for much success with your WA journey.
Virginia
