Has anyone heard about making your website ada compliant?

I just read the testpros article and I can’t decide if this is a thing or if it applies to us. I too am interested in learning more.
Thanks for pointing this out,

Hi everyone, I'm testing my emails sent to my website subscribers, but they keep ending up in the spam box. How do I fix this? I am using constant contact to generate the email
Also I think they used to say if you have more than 1 or 2 photos it sends it to spam but they may have updated that problem since then ...
So as you're testing out these emails your concern is that they could possibly land in the spam folders of your subscribers, right?
It's not uncommon to see a message during the actual subscription process where the subscriber is reminded to check his or her spam folder if they don't receive the first email and then to add it to their safe list.
It may be something you could add, that way your new subscribers know to look for it in their spam folder if they don't receive their first email.
Hi Ashley
It is a common experience now for Gmail addresses to end up in spam boxes.
You need to use an email address based on your own URL (available here with hosting).
If you need help please just ask ...
:-)
Richard
Thanks Richard! Yes, I do need help with that. Would you mind sending me the steps or process on that?
OK Ashley ...
Go to Websites / Site Manager
Then select Email (top right) ...
There are 2 tabs ... select New Email Mailbox ...
Select your URL from the right hand drop-down menu ...
fill in a name of your choice in the left box ...
Click Create ...
:-)
Richard
Soorry, I missed a point ... if you want to, you can just set up a forward facility to your Gmail (at the same place under Websites) ...
:-)

Hope this question is not confusing. How do I update my website email so that when someone subscribes and recieves a confirmation, myname@mywebsite.com shows next to my website
Hi Ashley
In Gmail you first need to set up "Send Email As" in the settings,
Click the gear icon (top right) then "Accounts & Import".
The 4th section down shows "Send Email As" ...
Click "Add Another Email Address" ... you will need your outgoing email settings from WA ...
Find them at WA... Website / Site Manager / Email and click the SMTP settings box for your email address. You'll need all 4 parameters shown ...
the way I handle this is to open Gmail in one tab with WA in the next and copy and paste what is needed as I fill out the form at Gmail ...
The first box in the set up form is what will appear when you get to send emails via Gmail ... I tell you how in a minute ...
When the sending email has been set up (if I remember rightly) a confirmation link will be sent to the new email address in an email that you should then find and click ...
Once confirmed you can use it for sending.
Now, when you set up a new email within Gmail, you can select the Send From email from a drop-down menu.
Have you already got Gmail set up to receive your WA emails?
If you have, it should automatically send using the correct reply address.
Any questions?
:-)
Richard
Thank you so much Richard for the detailed steps! I did everything and it looks good, but now I don't see a confirmation email being sent to the person who subscribes. Is that something I have to update through my plugin that I am using for the subscribe forms on my website?
So far so good then, Ashley.
Now, you haven't said what method you're using. What plugin are you're talking about? (I've never used a plugin for mailing so might not be able to answer usefully) ... but will try.
