Who here has NOT bought the premium membership but has still had a successful business?
Eventually I would like to go premium but feel like I need to learn the basics fi
Go premium when you feel comfortable that there is value there for you. Do not base it on making money.

Don't be the person that says "if I make some money I'll go Premium"...
Be the person that says "I'm going Premium, because I'm going to make money!".

Making money is everyone's main focus - sadly that is one of the biggest problems. Instead, look at your expenditure - $49/mo (the cost of Premium membership) is just a little over $1 per day so focus on saving that amount (rather than making it) to cover the cost of your membership.
Believe in yourself & invest in yourself. It would be like trying to remove the wheel from a car without any tools... Potentially possible, but very difficult... However buy a spanner & the wheel is gonna come off pretty darn quick. Premium is your spanner!

Hi - bear in mind that the 2 free websites you are given can only be used for 6 months as a starter member.
If you do choose to go premium, if you change your mind later, you can't go back to being a free member.

I want my niche to be nursery bedding, is that to broad?
A niche is a group of people who are interested in the same things, hang out in the same places and buy the same stuff. Choose a Niche Nursery bedding is a group of products, not a group of people. Your *group of people* are parents with babies and small children.
Yes, but not only nursery bedding, Ash. There are lots of other products you can promote when you help your readers solve their problems. Nursery bedding is the subject for maybe 10 articles then you'll need to write about other things.
So if my niche is parents, could I do nursery as a whole? I mean there is 100’s of things that could go into a nursery.
Don't focus on selling stuff, focus instead on helping people. It's only when you help people that they will trust you enough to buy the stuff you recommend.
Do all the lessons you have available to you as a starter member then upgrade to premium as soon as you can so you can access the rest of the lessons. The making money section is at Level 3. Allow yourself 6 to 12 months to build your business.
My focus is to help parents be less stressed when bringing home a baby, as a mother of two, making sure my home was prepared for my children to come home to was a big deal for me.
Now you're getting more focused. Your niche is new parents. Preparing for a baby, bringing baby home, preparing your toddler to accept a new sibling. These are things you can write about because you've been there and done that. You are an authority.
I think this has been a good conversation, Ash. Would it be OK if I write about it on my website? I'd like to use screenshots which will include your profile pic it that's OK with you.
I've just asked Ash if I can use screenshots which include her profile pic. Is it OK with you if I include your comment and profile pic too?
Thanks, Ash. I'll send you the link to the article when it's finished. I think it will benefit other new bloggers.
No it sounds fine, and eventually you can slowly start to add other pages of interest as your following grows if you wish to. Are you able to write constant blogs of about 1000 words on nursery bedding?
Are you suggesting that pick a topic I can write 1000 words on constantly? I am a mother so if I thought about it I probably could go in depth about some bedding, I just don’t consider my self a good writer.
