Is there any effect in the rankings if I add banners from amazon, wealthy affiliates and others affiliate programs in my sidebar?

Sidebar Ads and links get your readers distracted from reading your blog posts and this can affect your search engine rankings.

Thanks!

You are much welcomed, friend.

Hey Guillermo,

One of my websites had an affiliate link in the sidebar that was placed above the fold, and when I signed into Google Analytics, I discovered a penalty for having an affiliate link above the fold.

Because it was the ONLY affiliate link that I had on that site that was above the fold, I dragged that widget so that it appeared lower on the page.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank u!

You can put ads in your sidebar and they won't really hurt, but I wouldn't put in a huge supply as they will affect your reader's experience. FYI, you will generated the vast majority of your affiliate sales from text links, not banner ads. People have pretty much become ad-blind.

Thank u!

Lots of people have ad etc displaying on there sidebar.
It does not impact your SEO. It's more about user experience and if your website visitor will find them annoying or not.
Also some ad's can slow down your site speed.
That said.... you have to eat right? So it's upto you if you want them or not.

Thanks so much
