My google plus publications are ranking but not my website any ideas why? Is this good or bad?
I see mine as well. It's because you are logged into your G+ account and shared your post.
The benefit in using google plus is that other people in your circles will also see the articles you share FIRST and then the usual results in google.
But yes, that doesn't count first page - at all.
If you will log out from your G+ acc - you will not see your share at all.
Keep on publishing, target low competition keywords and build your website like it's you job!
Just jokin', keep on the hustle!
Your site is ranked in google, you can check Going in SiteRubix,Manager,View(blue button)(See the picture)

can someone tell why my website's post is being directed to google plus and my profile picture for google plus is on the SEO page? I am very confuse about this issue.
It's not good or bad either, I remember being a bit confused about this too at the beginning.
What you probably see are you Google+ posts on the first page of Google for that keyword, but in reality it's not really so, because if I search that exact keyword, it won't show me your Google+ post on the first page.
It's somehow like Google showing you your post before other pages, I don't know why it's so, but that's what I've noticed.
So you don't have to worry about this, most people won't see your Google+ post on their first pages.
I know it's a bit frustrating not to see your posts when you search that keyword, but it's true that it takes time and a lot of publishing so that your site becomes trust worthy. I know you've probably heard this before, but it's really so.
Chances are your site is not indexed yet and if it is your articles have not yet been crawled and ranked by the big G yet. No worries either way. It will just take some time is all.
ROCK ON!

If you are logged into gmail, you will see your own posts as well as the posts of those in your network on page 1. You wouldn't see them otherwise.

I fell for this trick the other day as well... I thought I was on the front page, I was pumped. Unfortunately, it's exactly what everyone else is saying. It's only because you're logged in with your Google+ account.
If you have a Jaaxy.com account, you can go and Type in certain keywords you use in your pages/posts, then type in your domain name, and it will tell you how you rank in Search Engines using that particular Keyword.
I have found this helpful in determining what keywords are attracting traffic, and what ones aren't getting me any rankings. Hope this helps.
