I am pretty sure it is ok to make screenshots of WA. Better double check, though.
It might depend on what exactly you want to show.
You can also link to every page or training here on WA. Don't forget to include your affiliate link, if you link to WA.
Cheers

I want to screen capture a tutorial video I want to make and upload it to my site. Having a hard time figuring out how to do this. Any help would be great. Thanks.
I use Camtasia, it has a pretty hefty price tag though. If you don't mind messing around with Linux, I believe it has some free screen recording software. The only draw back is that a lot of them will only do 720P recordings or something like that. You would also either need to install Linux in a VM or on an old computer, so the Linux option might not be an option depending on how adventurous you are.
Depends Arnjan what you are trying to screen capture
If you are trying to capture you doing some kind of over the shoulder training for people then Techsmith Camtasia is good for full on videos with bells and whistles. Its Paid Product
If you wanna do short style videos highlighting something with affiliate links or link to take somewhere to a site of ours then
Jing is good but limited to 5 minute videos I think (Free)
Another product you may find useful is NCH suite this can do screen capture or webcam videos (Free)
If you want just a video to add relevant content to beef up your site a little you can embed youtube videos direct into your site
Hope this helps you out a bit
Thanks. Yea Im trying to do over the shoulder type video I'll check some of those out. From messing around a little bit here I found a way. I tried using screencast o matic (free) ....made a video on there...uploaded it to youtube...then embed it on my site. Seems to work alright. Thanks for your help. If there's something stupid Im doing with the way I just explained let me know haha
Yeah screen cast-omatic should do the trick as well forgot about that one
If you have a youtube channel that is relevant to your site this may help your site with ranking by uploading to tube, then embedding into your site will produce link juice
However if you are just storing any kind of videos all different on your youtube channel than this prob wont help
EG if you have a channel with that may have weight loss vids, gaming vids, make money online vids then you wont get the same benefit to your site compared to...
A site that had just golfing videos that were embedded on a site all about golfing then this may give you a linkjuice boost as youtube is owned by google.
The NCH Suite would provide you with what you needed for tutorial style videos and you can create the video and directly place into your site through "Add Media" as far as i'm aware
Couple of options for you to think about there
Yea those are some good points you made there thanks. Should definitely create a dedicated youtube channel just for my niche. And the added link juice would be beneficial. The problem I found with adding videos directly to my site is the added weight of hosting it. From the research Ive been doing on this, hosting videos on my site would slow things down drastically compared to hosting them on youtube then just embedding it on my site after. Thats why I chose that route because originally I was trying to put the videos directly on my site.
Yeah important lesson learned there Arnjan. If you try to upload all your vids it will slow down drastically and im not sure what kind of storage WA provides.
Going down the yt route is better and free - and you may just get some added linkjuice if you setup like I mentioned making sure everything is relevant to each other.
Great ideas and good work keep it up !!

I had a friend write an article for me and she sent it via email. If I copy and paste this article into wordpress will it have some sort of a negative effect?
No, the copy/paste prohibition applies to copying and pasting existing content on the Internet (i.e., plagiarism). This content is new, therefore not a problem.
Oh! Take an intermediate step then and post into Notepad first - that will strip out any extra characters, etc.

Hey,
is there an error message?
Have you tried multiple times? You didn't unpack it, right?
If even the zip file is still to big, you can try and follow the instructions in this training here: How to use FTP to upload themes and plugins the easy way Cheers
Moritz
If you need to do with FTP, try filezilla training. Type in search bar above, on mobile can't look now.

I want to copy my old content and paste it into my new domain site. Can I do this then just delete the other site and not be punished for duplicate content?
Just copying and pasting could cause problems.
Since there are not that many articles yet, the chances are high, that you wouldn't get punished that much, if at all.
But I wouldn't risk it, to be honest.
Using the plugin Jude mentioned in the other question, would be a safer way to do it.
Cheers
Moritz
This is an interesting question and one I am interested to know the answer..
In my opinion it would be duplicated... and I know even if you delete your old site there is an archive that stores your old content.. I am not sure if this is still indexed though!! It takes snapshots of your site and saves them .. so this is something to consider.
I am sorry i cannot give you a conclusive answer.. but I know if you deleted the site and made it again on the same domain .. this would not be duplicated..
Ill keep check on this!
Thanks
Chris
Yea hopefully we can get a solid answer to this. I went ahead and imported that site to my new domain already so I hope it doesn't create any issues down the road. I also deleted the old site. It was a pretty fresh site so I don't know if any of the pages were even indexed yet but when I type the exact url of my old site into google it still pops up. Guess we'll see
