Just Checking In
I go for another IVIg treatment tomorrow for my CVID (Common Variable Immunodeficiency). These treatments keep me for being sick all the time with infections.
Tomorrow will bring a 65% increase in the amount of immunogammaglobulins I receive. This makes me nervous. While the immunogammaglobulins are a natural blood product and not a man-made chemical going into my body, the body still sees it as a foreign substance and I go through reactions and side effects similar to those endured by someone receiving a new organ.
The point being that I may not make it out of bed because of these rejection type reactions to the infusion. This makes me sad because I will miss interacting with all of you. I will miss your blog posts, your questions and your great advice. And I will miss writing.
I used to write a lot for different jobs I have held through the years, but until I found WA, I hadn't written for years. Now I don't know how I'll survive a few days without it.
Just being a part of this community and writing content to build my niche website has meant so much more to me than just trying to make some money. I know that because of my CVID, I am not able to take a traditional job where I would interact with co-workers and maybe even the public. I just knew that writing a blog would further isolate myself. Boy was I pleasantly surprised!
I've met some wonderful people here and it is fantastic to know that there are many, many people here to help when I have a question. This community has fulfilled so many needs...some I didn't realize I was missing out on.
Thank you all for being there and being so great! I look forward to being back with you as soon as I can. The article I am working on now will begin a new chapter for me and I'm sure that moving forward I will look to you for advice. This article will monetize my site for better or for worse. It's a turning point for me.
So, until we meet again, I am signing off. I'll see you all on the flipside of this infusion. I'll be thinking of all of you and I wish you well!

Anita I am very impressed by your story. Did you try to do something alternative? Because I now you can heal yourself. You have to know first the emotional cause of your illness. I hope you'll be ok very soon. Hugs and love. I'll pray for you.

Last time I went to the doctors? 12 years, ago. The doc wanted to take out all my female parts! LOL
