Cooler heads prevail

Hi folks! I just thought I'd ask if anyone has seen the movie Pleasantville. Well, I have, and it has occurred to me that it seems that everything is all perfect in that black and white show until Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon got "zapped" into the movie to take the roles of Bud and Mary Sue, respectively. Once that happens, the show is not perfect anymore and now Pleasantville is in color. Thus, making the show look more like the real world.

Anyhow, what I'm trying to say is life is not always perfect where it reflects the black and white nature of Pleasantville. With that said, there will be "trolls" coming to your site and cause negative reactions. Don't let them get to you. Simply delete their comments and move on. Life is too short to listen to these naysayers.

Live is like a movie sometimes; It does come in color and black and white depending on how you allow it to affect you.

Mickeyb

Good point, Mickey! I agree with what you said. I never thought about life like that. Thanks for stopping by to share that.
Armand

Yes,dont' let anyone distroy our coloured world!
Let's zap the trolls far away!
Great post, Armand, thanks!
:-)

Yw, Pernilla! I agree about sending the trolls to a distant galaxy far, far away!
Armand

Yes, to a far, far galaxy - good idea ;-)

There are times I get judged and its usually from family, but guess what, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.
A very good point Armand

Yw, Lori! I like your quote as well. Words should never hurt anyone. If anything, "hurting" words should be used to empower as in the quote, "What doesn't hurt me makes me stronger." Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for sharing!

Yw, Karin!

Thank you for sharing Armand! I completely agree people are going to judge and think what they want about you, but you know the truth about yourself. So what other people think should never matter.

You got that right, Makayla! Don't let anyone try to get you down. As the late rap artist 2Pac Shakur would say it, keep ya head up!
Armand

I never let anyone get me down. I know everyone has their opinions and I let it go in one ear and out the other. Yes he would say that!

Makayla

I have far too much work to do to let other's negativity get in the way.

That's the right way to go about it, Erica!

If only we could edit out all of life's unpleasantries!

Ikr?! Unfortunately, it's unpredictable at best. So, it's best to ignore it and let it go.

O.K. so they judge...so who says we have to pay attention to them???

Well, some people read the comments and feel that they have this urge to "rebuttal", and this usually doesn't work. So, just keep cool: delete and move on.

True, true, true! Thanks, Armand!

Yw, Rebecca!

Great blog, and great advice....life is too short...and if it's too black and white we would all be bored. Unless we experience the lows of despair and failure...we never could possibly understand the highs of love, success and joy!
Thanks for good reminder and inspiration!

I couldn't agree with you more, Jason. You've hit the nail on the head. I felt that you've summed up what life is like in a black and white world very well. Thanks for stopping by to share that.
