Hi Team,

I am looking to share some content from various blogs on the wa-site on facebook & twitter. However I can't find any social media button i.e. facebook like

You need to add a plugin for this. Jim

I use Sassy Social Share. It's a simple plug in that doesn't slow down your site. Jim

Hello guys...

I'm just started processing the session on 'What Does Social Engagement Mean to Your Business'.

Just a quick question regarding the same: I already

It can depend on your niche and what your goals are. Many online marketers like to keep their professional online presence separate than their personal one. I prefer separate accounts because although I don't really use social media for personal use, I wouldn't want to see friends or family constantly promoting their business on their feed. If they were to post every once in awhile to join their professional/biz page that's okay... and having a separate page gives you that option.

As far as niche choice, some niches tend to do well on social media while others don't. You can build a community around certain interests like sports, gaming or music related niches. Recipes and crafts do well on Pinterest, fitness does well on Instagram.

If you're niche was tool reviews though (just as an example), social media might help you with some promotion but it's not necessarily one you can build a community around.

Hope that helps a little :-)

Jay

Hey guys,

Free domain website up. Completed Level One training.

The first level two training is requesting me to purchase my own domain/ brand. Sure I want to do

Hey Arjun, it's important to get your own domain up and running but at this stage it's not critical. You can keep building your site out as you are now and move it to your own domain later. It's a pretty simple process that site support will help you with. I'd skip over that part of the training and continue as if you were building on your own domain.

I'm a big believer in paying attention to other people's content in your niche. You don't want to copy them but what's important is that you can learn what Google is looking for. When you are doing your keyword research and find a good one, before you start writing it's critical that you put those keywords into Google and see what comes up. Those are the sites and content that should inspire you because you already know that Google likes them.

And when you're starting out don't get too caught up in "competing" with those sites, you just want to learn what they are doing. In time you will find your own "lane" and carve out your own unique piece of online real estate.

Thank for the earthy advice Jay! I am going to take your word for it, because I can hear experience talking :)

But I am going to purchase my own domain tonight ... nevertheless I am in no hurry to leave my siterubix.com! I'll do that once I feel that my website is better loaded. Cheers buddy!

I've changed domains a few times over the years and what you'll want to do when you buy your new domain is to set it up quickly with just a simple page that says what it's about and that it's coming soon or under construction... something like that. All you need is single paragraph.

The reason for this is that it gets indexed in Google sooner so even if you don't move your site over for another 6 months your domain is gaining maturity. Half of our battle is just waiting for Google to give us some love... this will give you a little bit of a head start :-)

Honestly, one of the best ways to learn is to read the content written by others. What do you enjoy reading? What is a chore to read? What content makes you want to buy the product?

Writing is not a skill you learn like math. It is more of an art. Study the art and you can become successful.

Hi Arjun, The Bootcamp training Phase 2, Task 2 is where content is taught by Kyle.

Thanks Ken :)
