Why is my site not producing sales? 3 big reasons
The more I am doing this and of course the excellent mentoring I am blessed to be a part of...the clearer it gets. Ready for this?
Complicated thinking gets us into trouble.
OK. I hear you laughing. Easy to recognize yes? You know that feeling when it feels like we are taking a mud bath because nothing is clear?
I know that feeling well. And I have now recognized it as, OK, take a step backward, take a breath and simplify. Break it down to its smallest parts and then go forward from there.
And part of this process is that knowing when we are not seeing things clearly and simply.
How many times have we been beset with analysis paralysis?? Is this post perfect, maybe I should work on it for another, umm, 12 hours? And well, I won't even give any other suggestions, because the list is endless.Right?
So this is going to be a down to the bone really simple post.
Yup, no excess words here, she says with tongue in cheek.
It is three things:
1.Content
2. CTA, call to action
3.Our own gold mine, the real estate of our descriptions on each post
Yup, that is that. So I did my job.. I am going now, bye
Ok only kidding..here we go ..
QUALITY CONTENT
How many times have we heard is our content relevant to our niche? Have we checked that recently? Exploring other similar sites to see how they are connecting to our niche?
Is our content doing everything it can to pull in engagement?
Are we using humor?
True stories?
Conversational language?
Sharing it with Social media?
Are we quickly answering comments?
Have we thought of what we could do to engage even more?
Are we solving problems for our niche market audience?
Are we also giving out food for thought and joy?
If you can answer yet to all of these questions, congrats, you may pass go and collect 200 cyber dollars.
Next step.
CTA, CALL TO ACTION
Do we really know what our CTA is? Meaning each time we use an affiliate link, is it relevant?
Does it fit in well with the blog?
Will it solve problems?
Is it reasonably priced for the offering?
Are we adding value by offering this product?
Is it a product we can ethically be comfortable with?
And this is the biggest one of all, are we clearly asking what we want to ask for? What is our ask?
Is it visible? Not stuck at the bottom of the page?
And are we keeping it simple?
How did you do with that list of questions? If you did at least 90% I think you can fix the rest and then pass go.. Yay you, another 200 cyber dollars.
Here is the one that I am truly not getting my head completely wrapped around yet.. how are you figuring this one out?
OUR GOLD MINE
I just love this expression. We are all here to build a business. We are not playing around. We have committed to the fact we are professional business owners. That means we act as such. Yes?
So what do we want? To monetize and flow in abundance..that is clear yes? No mud here.( Whew, finally!)
Then that means we pay attention to everything that will help us to achieve that goals. On our site when we are writing a post, there is on the right side and the bottom dialogue boxes that are not there just to confuse us.
Those boxes are our own gold mine. They are how we are ranked on the Google god.
Do we want that.. ? Is that a rhetorical question she ponders...
SEO all in one pack. Complete all those boxes: This is your gold mine! It is how Google will rank us and people will find us. THIS IS VITAL. It is prime real estate. It is truly our beach house awaiting us!

Featured image: Pick an image that will draw people in. Visual is so important. ( oh and just a note, I pick an extra graphic than that I use in the beginning of the piece so that two of the same photos are not shown.)
How did you do with SEO descriptors? Ready to rock them?
I heard that loud YES WE CAN!
If you click every box each time you post, you get A new beach house...wow!
Ok, I want to hear where you are building your new beach house.. you can see it yes?
So that is what I am learning...and within each of these steps there are more levels to enhance each part, but it starts with the basics. If our site is not ready for traffic, it is like we put up a red traffic light that never changes to green.
Not the way we want to monetize and grow.
We cannot build on running mud, but we can build with cement. See the difference?
I am sure that many of us have a different view of what are the most important things to insure monetizing..and I would really like to hear them .So please do share.
So off we go, beach houses await us!
