Wealthy Affiliate, The Island of Our Own Thinking
I just read Vrtovic lastest post. And it was about an island.
It started me thinking. What a fabulous metaphor.. .yeah i know, I am all about the metaphors.
We are all our own island. And we have the capacity to feed and grow that space .To create a one of a kind island of amazing capacity for success and thriving.
That is really powerful yes?
I mean if my island can be likened to my choice of action, then I can live in a space that is beyond prosperous, gorgeous and vibrant. Yes? Uh huh!
So let's talk about what our islands look like..and how they function..ready?
What do we need on our own islands?
Sustanance.hmm what does that mean? Food, water, ease, comfort, food for thought?
Housing, shelter,simple shelter for the physical and heart
Community,knowing we are not alone, and building a bond of compassion and growth and the most important thing, personal values, not external values.
Experience, constantly expanding our expertise to gain more knowledge, and expertise
Trade, knowing how to get what we need
Knowing our own truth and living it
Understanding our goals for our island
Knowing that building new infrastructure is a process, step by step
Living our dream
Working our journey and way to self sufficiency
Communicating in a way that is inclusive
Writing a manifesto of governance to know that at all times I am staying the course for the island
So when we have all of these on our island, we are then putting together the ability to create and recreate successful living and thriving.
And we grow by the moment.
So today, what is on our island?
What would you add or subtract?
And here at Wealthy Affiliate, is that not what we are building?

The saying 'no man is an island' may point to the necessity of interdependence of islands to satisfy each others need where they may be lacking.
i'm ready for the island (sun and warmth would be nice) and we can keep working if we have a connection and we can get that almost anywhere

Hello, hmmm what did i mean?? lol..by sharing with others and knowing how to find those resources we are actually trading information that allows each of us to grow. If i am willng to learn and listen.. i am then trading my time for the next step to success.
