I need help starting my online business, 5 tips to get there

Help! I have been dreaming for ages of wanting to start my own online business. I do not have a clue where to start? Have you ever thought that before?

I know I certainly did. For years! I knew in that somewhere out there was a business just beckoning me. But I could not quite get there.

And I knew I needed help starting my online business. We all know how incredible it is to be able to just surf the net and amazing things happen. Everything is at our fingertips. The problem is knowing so much information is out there. But having something that is truly viable and not a just asking for my money. And leaving me to cry.

After many years of searching, I was also aware there were so many of us baby boomers awaiting a new life path. And it dawned on me that we are again the best at forging new ways. Even if we did not always start them.

And it has certainly been the younger generation that is most comfortable with technology. I mean, how many of us have to even ask our school age grand kids to solve a tech dilemma for us?? Yeah, lets not go there.

So what are we looking for in having an online business and how do we start?

DECIDING

First we have to make a decision about what we really want to do. How much are we willing to invest. Are we willing to invest time to make it work?

Are we willing to write and blog? Are we willing to learn new skills? And what kind of presence do we want to have in the online world?

But maybe those questions are the horse before the cart? Because we first have to cull through opportunities. And then decide which truly work for us.

For instance. I tried many different sites before I finally found Wealthy Affiliate. And at each try, I continually had that, uh oh, dread sense. This is not right, somehow.

It was only with Wealthy Affiliate that somehow I knew I found my way home. And that is a decision only you can make. But do know the warning signs that it might not be working for you. Such as asking for loads of upfront money and not having a solid training program.

Since we have lived lives that have been so full of change, and events. We inherently know what we are most passionate about. From social justice, to having flowing abundance and joy.

What does it take to make that continue or happen in our next path? Well, that brings us to our sense of passion. Doesn't it?

Wikipedia talks about passion.as a compelling enthusiasm or desire for something. For instance in a kiss we are swept away by the intense emotion of the experience. (Unless of course you kissed a frog!)

And french Philospher Denis Diderot describes passions as "penchants, inclinations, desires and aversions carried to a certain degree of intensity, combined with an indistinct sensation of pleasure or pain, occasioned or accompanied by some irregular movement of the blood and animal spirits, are what we call passions.

They can be so strong as to inhibit all practice of personal freedom, a state in which the soul is in some sense rendered passive; whence the name passions. This inclination or so-called disposition of the soul, is born of the opinion we hold that a great good or a great evil is contained in an object which in and of itself arouses passion".

Using this sense of passion, what is it that drives us and delivers us to a place that holds great emotional input? What is it that we truly want to put out in the world? Or what about our legacy of our lives is worthy of being held up as wisdom and capability that we want to share?

Here is what I think, and have learned about we need when we decide to start our own online business.

1. DRIVE, being fully willing to build our business. No matter what else arises. We treat it as our job.

2. PASSION, using our passion to be the fuel to get across our message in hope, joy and love

3 VEHICLE, choosing a vehicle to work with that is integrously, ethical, not expensive, and fully responsive to us.

4 TRAINING & SUPPORT, knowing that the training and support that is offered, is in our best interest and is living on the pulse of all that is technologically needed.

5. SEEING OURSELVES AS ENTREPRENEURS, and here is the big one. When we decide to see ourselves as entrepreneurs we are really on the path to taking care of our business. We do what is necessary to make it work. We see ourselves as path changers. We understand this success it totally up to us.
