Wealthy Affiliate - Its The Community That Makes It Great!

Many people have their different reasons for joining Wealthy Affiliate and more importantly staying with them.

For all of us it is the dream that we will one day be successful online business owners, which is definitely one of mine, however at these early stages of my journey staying with Wealthy Affiliate is most definitely the community within.

I Want To Paint The Picture

So here I was only a few nights ago happily going through my Wealthy Affiliate training learning more than I would ever have thought possible.

Anyways I was half-way through Module 5 from memory and my sister gave me a call about being on my website on her mobile and all the titles were jumbled up and she couldn't read them.

The content was OK, the pictures fine just all the 25+ articles I had written couldn't be understood.

What I had done was gotten so excited about hitting my writing and content goals I had only ever checked the desk top view.

So after hearing this I thanked her for the feedback, hung-up and thought no worries easy fix.

What I forgot to tell myself Is to remember I am the definition of a Tech Numpty!! meaning on a level of 1 - 10 in the tech savvy gauge I am a ZERO!

So imagine zero tech skills, a tech numpty and off I go into my WP dashboard thinking I have this, I mean how hard can it be to change a few titles so as people can read them right?

WRONG!!!! 8 cups of black coffee and 2 hours later I still have a great looking desktop version but my mobile titles still look like I have been on the Gin & Tonics for a whole week LOL!

They still make no sense.

Now I know, you people who are a little technically gifted are probably thinking, surely Mark this shouldn't be that difficult, and you are probably right, which leads me into why this Wealthy Affiliate community is the best I have ever come across within an online business.

My 5 Helpers That Night - The Awesome Ones!

So as the 8th cup of coffee kicked in and the thought of "I need to get to bed" passed I sat their thinking how am I going to fix this?

First thought go to the Ask A Question section which I will say has been a great help tool in the past, however buzzing with my caffeine overload I was thinking I really want to get this sorted now!

That's when the penny dropped in this sometimes thick noggin, go to the good ole reliable and very helpful chat feature.

1st On The Scene

So after a quick "Good Evening" I immediately got a response from someone who has always been here to help and always willing to have a chat and that was @Jaz333.

In hindsight had she known the time that I would take from her and she would never get back, she may have chosen to ignore me that night LOL.

But that's not what the members of this community are about.

The 1st On The Scene Gets Back-Up

Within a few seconds of chat and after seeing the dilemma the tech numpty had gotten himself in another awesome helper within the community @JoeRebisz hopped into chat.

This now meant we had 2 1/2 heads working out my problem, with Joe and Shannon obviously being the whole and me helping out as the half.

We had tried a few things that for shortness in typing I will call the 2 heads had though of but still no luck!

Enter #3 - I Think We Are Making Progress

With still only about a minute of chat on the clock and making a little progress through trial and error @DianeScorpio also not realizing the time she would eventually lose said Hi.

So from now until we sorted this had committed herself to the task and now made this tech crew into 3 1/2.

It was her brilliant idea that we should all be checking our phones and seeing if the modifications Numpty was making were working and also to make sure I cleared the cache and refreshed every time.

My response, well you can imagine. That all sounded very foreign to me.

45 Minutes In - We Need To Add Humour

I knew I was taking up precious time for the three amazing people I had on the Tech Numpty Team, and while I was doing my best to get a few LOL's along the way these guys were all about getting my problem solved.

Who better to join, for not only an abundance of knowledge but also a wicked sense of humor than @ParthaB.

Once Partha joined not only were we making headway into getting my titles to make sense we were also having fun doing it. Well that's my take on it, the others may have a different thought lol.

The One In The Background Brings It!

So this self formed band of amazing people had been with me on chat trying everything, and were never going to give up until we sorted this out.

Hey Mark it's @Apache1 here, I have been following this chat, why don't you give this a try.

And This Is Why Wealthy Affiliate Is #1 To Me

We had been at this for a little over 1 hour, now you tell me what other online community will give you this and expect nothing in return?

All these amazing friends and to me that is what they are, were not going to let my caffeine buzz be wasted.

So while the training at Wealthy Affiliate is great, to me it is the community within that really makes this the best place to be for any online entrepreneur.

For me the people who helped me that Coffee infused night are what we call in Australia, My Best Mates within this great community, along with others who have always been willing to go that extra mile.

Rock On Team Numpties!!

P.S - Special mention to @LouiseBT and @TheCatherine for their help in the dreaded WB saga I was going through when I first started.

I haven't forgotten the great lengths you two went through to help me with that one, which is why you are also part of my Great Mates Crew!
