Hello, my name is Lynne.

Would anyone happen to know which plugins would interfere with me receiving my new comments through my website?

Here are 6 to look at that might help Lynette! http://www.wpexplorer.com/wordpress-plugins-comments/

Thanks Michael! I believe this site will help me.

My pleasure Lynette!

I know that any anti-spam plugins will prevent people from leaving comments on all websites hosted here at WA because of the SiteProtect feature WA uses on all of our websites.

Ha! Just your comment during a moment of calm in my day got me to thinking that possibly, this issue is only due to the commenter's page loading slowly. This happened to me just a couple of hours ago. My computer had slowed down, due to visiting Facebook. I visited a WA site, attempted to add a comment and the same error message popped up, "You are commenting to quickly, please try again in a few minutes." I waited and then added the comment successfully. Who knows, but I did need to revamp my plugin usage, LOL! I am a glutton for plugins.

What? Did I just answer my own posted question? I am waiting for my friends and mentors to confirm one way or another. Meanwhile, I will reactivate another plugin, just for kicks!
Lynne

this is new...I never heard of any plugins that would interfere with comments.

I have pasted my analytics code into my Appearances < Editor, right under the tags. I thought I was good to go for the purpose of going to the Console to verify my site. Now

Hi,

it is a bit difficult to follow your writing here, but are you talking about Google Analytics?

If yes, you can take a look at this training here: And if I may give you some small advice:
Try using line breaks more. Both here and on your website.
"Walls of text" are not easy to read and visitors on your site, will most likely leave and try to find their answers elsewhere.

Cheers
Moritz

Thanks, I will try all of that

You're very welcome. :)

Will I be able to post a Google BF ad with the link to a banner, even if I am only Premium, may not be able to go for the deal, myself? My website is still with Site.Rubix. I h

Unfortunately, there are only a few hours of the sale left at this point.

Yes, I see that we have less that 8 hours. I have a post to Google poised to ad the link. I had added the link twice in FB over the holiday weekend. I only just an hour ago discovered someone posting that we have to ad our ID to her link that she posted. I have it pasted, ready to go, waiting for my ID #. In looking into my account I do not see an ID. Will I only obtain an ID if I go for the BF sale myself? I plan to leave December 1st, returning January or February 1st, after my move is settled. Thanks, Lynne

Your affiliate ID is listed on every single page of WA. It's the same everywhere, the ID is the part at the end. You can also find it by clicking on the airplane above.

Thanks! The link is working and posted in two Google+ accounts I have!

Since I would like to leave myself open to creating more than one or two websites, how do I purchase and create a domain that will cover all of them? How do I name the main dom

You can create multiple subdomains, similar to how the siterubix sites work, but I would not recommend this for the same reason that we encourage you to get a fully hosted domain name - better SEO, etc. One domain name, one site.

Ok, so if I understand correctly, it's better to have one website per domain? Better to purchase a new domain for each website, because of how SEO works? This makes sense, thanks! I see how the domain name, matching the website name would draw traffic easier. It's just going to cost more...one of the necessary startup costs.

Yes, the hosting (which is included here), is the expensive part, the domain names are only $12-15 per year. I have over 100 domains.

Does anyone know about using an AKA and opening a bank account for multiple sites? Will I have to open a bank account for each website? I already had a website with my AKA, ju

In the USA, you file a DBA (doing business as) for each website that you own so that they are all linked to your actual name (if a sole proprietorship).

That being said, this is not a question for the community. You need to consult an attorney in your local jurisdiction with expertise in this area of law. I would also recommend engaging a CPA (accountant) as well.

Thanks! At least my son-in-law is a CPA. That will make this easier. Thanks for your kind reply! I did take that website down this morning. Looks like I had so much competition and lack of experience that no one would have ever found me, anyway. WA has prevented me a terrible loss!
