One Month Already. WOW!
Tomorrow will mark my first month here at WA. I still haven't decided if it was a good decision or not, but one thing I'm sure is that I know the opportunity is there. I know it sounds contradictory but it is mainly because of my busy schedule.
Between school and my actual job, it is hard to fully dedicate my time to WA. I try my best when I have some time to write articles and work on my website. Not always easy though, I'm sure you can tell!
Another thing is that I don't have tell my boyfriend yet about WA. He doesn't particularly like these kind of enterprise, he thinks it is a waste of time and money, basically a scam. At the beginning I was really just trying WA to see what it was and to understand better how it worked. Now that I have an answer, I can say that WA has a lot of potential to make me grow financially.
I didn't want to tell him at the beginning because I didn't know if it was worth it. Now, after one month, even if I don't have any results yet (it is normal), I would like to tell him but I don't know how. If you have any ideas, please share them with me :)
Other than that, I am happy to be here and I want to thank you all for answering all my questions. The community is one of the things that make me stay, I have not seen that anywhere else. You are all unbelievable!

Congrats on completing your first month. May I suggest a few points to share with your boyfriend about WA?
Before even mentioning you joined WA, ask him does he have any idea how some people who create websites get ranked on the first page of Google without having to pay for ads? And could that be useful if you wanted to set up an online business that will generate sales while you are sleeping?
I hope he says that is a cool thing to do. Follow that by saying these are skills that need to be learned. One can either take the trial and error approach that could take a lot of time with no guarantee of success. Or join a training program that taught it to you in a step by step manner. And over tine you will have a successful online business.
Add that these kinds of training can cost thousands of dollars. However, you were fortunate to find a company called Wealthy Affiliate that was created by two regular guys 13 years ago that now has over 1.5 million members world wide. And the reason why it has grown is they only charge less than $50 a month. Period. And if paid yearly, it is less than $30 a month. You can't pay for a university online course for less than hundreds of dollars a month.
Tell him that is does take time to go through the lessons. Just like any course. And that you have carved out a couple of hours each day to do just that.

I wish you much success in persuading him that this is not la scam because there are thousands of people who have built successful online businesses from going through this training.

Being upfront is always the best thing to do in any relationship, yet I understand possibly your reticence in speaking about it if in the past he noted his concern about such things as online marketing. You have discovered the world of online marketing, and for whatever reason, he may not care about it even if you make financial gain through this avenue.
I would explain that you are learning about marketing online not for riches but long term knowledge you can use. An example of this is Wordpress and building websites. this can be a valuable asset to learn for any business. The same thing goes for Social Media. There are college courses teaching this and, major careers in corporations it can be utilized.
I have a spouse of 33 years who knew she was marrying an entrepreneur and salesperson from the beginning of our relationship, no surprises. There have been many times I quit to take standard 9-5 jobs, and yet my bargain was to do the other part-time as long as I was not taking away from the budget.
Hope I have given you food for thought and ways to approach in your own words as well. Side note this doubt on her behalf spurred me on to enough success at one business, I took her on a great trip! :)
