So this is my story, I am a jersey girl in a florida world, born and raised in ny/nj my whole life, I then moved to florida for college and I have a degree in graphic design. My degree is a bit outdated, I mainly just do invitations. I also am a great baker, just self taught and learned from watching my mom through the years.

Like most people who graduated from my class unfortunately I cannot find a job. I have always wanted to do work in something I enjoy instead of the normal 9-5 grind or retail. I also am not super fast passed and well lets face it this is a faced passed world. I move back up north to marry my best friend and then I recruited him to florida! It never seemed to matter wether I am here or there I cannot find a job that is the right fit for me. My husband and I have been hoping I can find something with my degree but it hasn't happened, and thats why I am here. Hopefully this could be the step in the right direction for us!

I am a bit of a homebody but still like to go out and have fun but life is exspensive no matter where you live. Growing up I have always been creative, I used to write poetry and be into fashion. When i got to college I thought I found my niche with fashion but I learned that i was not cut out for it, way too competitive for me. While still a fashion major I had gotten a taste of graphic design and loved it! I wouldn't trade have that degree I really do love it but I just wish I was a bit more business minded.

I learned early after college it wasn't going to be easy to find a job. I went on a lot of interviews and they all had the same thing to say "Your portfolio is nice but could use some more work, you do not have the experience we are looking for." I can't tell you how many times i heard that. I never stopped looking for a career in graphic design but always did invitations for fiends and family. I wound up settling for work that I didn't enjoy and doing that it made me a different person in a bad way and I hated that. To be completely honest I have been searching for a great company where I can work from home and do my own thing, work at my own pace and still make money. Now that I have signed up I am hoping with the tools from WA I can enjoy what i am doing. I know it could be a little tough at first but I figured what do i have to loose!
APittner's Goals 3
Money Goals
I would be happy making enough money for a part time job, at least 1,000-2,000 a month.
I would be ecstatic if I were earning 5,000 or more.
To start off I don't mind putting in 30 hours a week but as I start to make money I am hoping it will be less time so I have more time with my family when my husband and I have a baby.

Thank you but I don't have any yet... we have been putting off kids till we are a little more financially stable. I figured working from home having my own site would definitely help!

Superb goals Alyssa! You have a large network and community here at WA that you can leverage for help and support along the way, myself included.

It all starts with a goal...then is followed by action...then is followed by results. This is going to be how it pans out for you and I can't wait to hear about all of your successes in the days, weeks, and months ahead! :)

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hey I was so excited to get started I actually just got to the create your website part. I decided to do weddings, named it Bride to be. basically I wanted to do blog posts pertaining to weddings. the gown, invitations, photographer, hair make up... well everything lo,l basically the whole process and I figured i could also add some DIY stuff in there. I created my own invitations for my wedding and other peoples so i figured if this works out I could eventually sell mine on here. I also already know of websites I can use that have affiliate programs so I think this is a good stepping off point for me! Let me know if you have any thoughts thanks!

Hey Wendy, I have done all the lessons in course one. I know to get course two I need to upgrade. I am a bit stuck because now I finished the about me and privacy page but the training mentioned information about keywords yet it didn't tell me to do anything with it. I still have 5 and a half days on my count down I am thinking about upgrading if you think what i have so far is good, i'd also like to mention that I looked up bride to be and a site that wasn't mine was there but I didn't know that until after the fact. I know i cannot send you a link because I am not a premium member but is there a way for you to check it out so far? The name of the site is Bride to be I would really appreciate it, thanks!

Hey Alyssa,

I see you already went premium! Honestly I like you niche idea, and it is no problem that "bride to be" is already the name of a website. You can re-name the site whatever you want when you create your own domain and transfer it from you siterubix.com one. Does that make sense?

Hi Wendy! Thank you so much for reaching out to me I honestly have been going back and for for about a year about this and never took the plunge. My husband and I are slightly struggling and it doesn't help that I do not have a job and to be completely honest I don't think normal jobs are for me anyway. I prefer to be in my own home and doing my own thing. I think this should be a good fit for me, thank you again for your support we will definitely be in touch!
