November 1st

Oh My Goodness! A lot has happened in such a short time. What happened you ask?

Well let me lay this out for you.

First, the time changed. I truly think that the time change is one of the biggest pains in the butt! We set our clocks back, but my body just doesn't change its clock quite so easily. I also hate the fact that the days are shorter.

Anyway, I got up at what would have been 7 am, but because of the time change it was actually 6 am. Mostly because the fur childs internal clock did not change either.

After the morning rituals with the fur child, I sat down and did a few things here on WA. After a bit the darling husband arose and we managed to get some breakfast and shoot off to the laundry mat.

Amazingly, because of the time change we completed all of this before 11 am. So, we decided to take the fur child for a walk around the lake at the state park.

It was a beautiful walk, the sun was shining, with a bit of a breeze. The sky was blue and the water was bluer.

We passed many folks along the trail enjoying the walk as much as we were. We passed through the Showboat Belle parking lot, ending the 1st part of the walk at the Table Rock Dam. Then, of course, we had to walk back.

By the time we got home we were ready for some lunch and a sit down. That is when it happened. I opened the laptop and low and behold, WA had taken on a new look.

Wow, what a first impression. I like the look. It is clean and fresh. I would be lying if I didn't say that it took me by surprise, even though we were kind of warned.

I did notice though that it was running a bit slow. I didn't think to much about it though. I figured it was mostly due to my WiFi and the fact that they had just rolled out such a major update.

I didn't spend too much time here that evening, mostly due to the speed and the husband watching tv. But, I did do a quick run through of the different tabs.

Monday, November 2nd

Starting off the week, with changes and beautiful weather.

Monday I got up early again, because my clock still is on summer time. Didn't get much done Monday morning here, except a few blog post comments.

Later in the day, I managed to watch Kyle's video explaining the update and the new level of membership. I found the video to be great in his explanation and he made the upgrade sound appealing.

I personally have chosen to stay with my current premium plan for now, as I am really just getting started and it really fits my needs at this moment in time. It is certainly something to work towards in the future though and I look forward to growing.

I know from reading some live chats and a few blog posts that there are some mixed feelings about everything. I personally welcome the update and hope that everyone chooses the options that are right for them.

As we are all at different stages of our journey our needs are certainly going to be different. I believe Kyle and Carson have done a great job of catering to a huge array of needs here.

I look forward to what the future holds for us here at WA and look forward to exploring and learning the new interface.

Today, November 3rd

ELECTION DAY!

It is finally here! I personally did my duty and exercised my right to vote last Tuesday. I took advantage of the early voting option, and I am glad I did.

I have tried to not pay too much attention to what is going on with the craziness that is surrounding this election. Especially today and I am sure it will continue for many days.

Never, in my lifetime, have I ever seen an election day, where there was so much caos and cities boarding up their buildings in case of craziness coming out.

I pray that no matter the outcome that people can be mature and decent human beings. Sadly, I do not have much faith in that.

So, for now I am going to leave you with a beautiful sunny evening shot from my backyard and I pray that everyone have a peaceful evening or good morning, depending on where you are in the world.

I love the pictures, Annette. The view along the river is spectacular.
I know how you are feeling about the elections and it will take patience on our part not to lose our mind.
Have a blessed week ahead.
Ray

Thank you Ray. Patience and faith in a higher power for sure.

Beautiful photos!!!! I really must visit that area. I do believe I'm older than you and I have NEVER IN MY LIFETIME seen such a year as we have had!!! I worry about the outcome of it all but there is nothing I can do now. I did my duty as well.

This has been a year for the books even for WA!!! 🤗

Yes, you must visit!
I don't necessarily fear for the outcome, as much as I fear for the future of my children and grandchildren.
Either way we are going to have unrest. When you have so much division and each side is so sure that they are the ones that are right it never ends well.

I'm with you all the way!!!!! 😪

The new platform on here loads much slower than the other one, so I doubt it was your wifi. It looks like they still have several bugs to work out, which is expected for such a large update.

Enjoy the serenity of your backyard; I can see it is much more tranquil than watching the news. 🙂

I absolutely agree. It is still loading slowly today, and it is okay. They will certainly get it worked out.
I can;t watch the news. My backyard is definitely way more enjoyable, LOL

Agreed

Sounds like a Great week for you so far, Annette! Hopefully things will smooth out soon for everyone!

Jeff

Absolutely, We cannot complain about the gorgeous weather and life certainly goes on. LOL

Yes....and yes, Annette!

Jeff

Just stay safe!
Joe

Definitely Joe, you as well
