Feeding Our Local Heroes
Hello Ya All!
Just a short one tonight. I haven't been real active on here for the past two days due to a whole lot of cooking going on.
Tonight we were blessed with being able to put together a grand buffet of all the Thanksgiving favorites to feed our local heroes. After a ton of donations from many of our local businesses, we put together a feast for our local police departments.
They were able to stop in at our park and pick up to-go boxes filled with everything from salad, fresh rolls, deep-fried turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, corn casserole and a whole array of pies, cake and of course, donuts!
All the food was prepared by our full-time residents here at the park and they did an amazing job.
It turned out to be a great evening full of great food and blessing enough to go around. We even had enough food left to take to the actual departments for all those working that couldn't come out to the park themselves.
Because this is the week of Thanksgiving we tend to see a lot more posts focused on Gratitude and Giving Thanks. Well, today a small group of people were able to bless some folks that have spent their days and nights providing us with a safe enviroment to live in and we appreciate and are grateful for them.

That's a really great thing to do and supported by local businesses too makes a huge difference too. People really do appreciate what their local heroes do on a daily basis and they are the one's that they can rely on in times on need.
