Speed up your website with Site Speed and Lazy Load
Hi All
I know at times many may be having issues with their Site speed some I have seen is in the red or orange.
Here are two ways that can help you boost your Site speed to your website
Today I finally got around (more like I remembered) to add a plugin called Lazy Load by WP Rocket.
I know Kyle recommened this in one of his trainings and it certainly does make a difference.
Don't forget also activating your Site Speed here in WA as well

For those who havent you can find SiteSpeed by going to Site Manager then clicking details next to your website.
Scroll down the bottom and your will find it there and just activate it so you get a green light and while you are there you might as well activate the others will which help you further along.
Once done refresh your site then if you like check out your current speed using this so you know what is currently is.
Srolls down where it state PageSpeed Insights and refreshed all your pages and posts.
This way you have an idea of what your current speed is
Maybe even take a snapshot if you want and save it to your computer for easier comparision
After that to to your Wordpress plugins and installed LazyLoad by WP Rocket the image looks like this
Lazy Load does two basic things which you can read in the image above
Basically when someone scrolls down your website instead of having all the images loaded which can take affect your loading and speed time when they get to an image it will load it up then
As a result you will find your speed will improve as well as I will show below.
Install and Activate LazyLoad
Settings for Lazy Load
Now once activated you will find in the setting three boxes you can tick I did all three and that is all you need to do in the setup.
Refresh your weibste once more and go back to the details section where you updated your Site speed scroll down the bottom and you will find your pages and posts.
If you have saved the prevous site speed this is where the comparison comes in handy.
Now refresh your pages and posts and you should see a marked difference for the better with your Pagespeed Insights
Although I was already happy with my speed I took a snapshot of before and after so you can see the difference it made.

So I am sure this will certainly increase yours as well
Note nothing is perfect you made still need to address some things relating to other issue but this will certainly help improve your PageSpeed results therefore giving a better used experience.
Of course this is up to you as some don't want to add extra plugins and that is your choice just this is an options should you wish to try.

Hi Andre, I’m impressed by your site speeds! My mobile speeds have been stuck in the high 70’s, no matter what I try. I currently use bj lazy load, but maybe I will switch to this one. Thanks for sharing.

The speeds as you seen on the before part are the results of other plugins, better SEO and also I tend to compress my images before they are downloading into the media library on the website.
In the end, it is all down to following the training not just by Kyle and Jay but also from what you have seen from others who have either given training, blogs along with reading issues and solutions from fellow members and gradually applying this to your site.

Thank you for the heads up on the Lazy Load plugin, Andre! Lately, I had issues with a couple of my websites that had too many plugins.
I have since reduced the number to no more than 5 on each website and have noticed a significant difference in speed.
I will look into adding Lazy Load to all my sites.

Remember it is not necessarily the amount of plugins but the quality of the coding within the plugins that creates issue one being slower speeds along with clashing with other plugins too.
But if you can get away with minimum plugins that is great or if you know coding yourself even better.
I have 18 plugins on both my sites with the same theme and as you can see this didn't affect my speeds or other major issues

Yes you will see in site manager when you view details about your website they recommend 5 if you have more then it will tell you and give you less percentage there.
But many have more it is just a recommendation, not a requirement
If you can get away with less then great and as I said if you know how to code as you have mentioned and it can replace a plugin you have an added advantage just make sure you are positive with that and backup your site before you intend to make changes too.

Likewise for you Andre...I've just been doing some ' IT tidying' with search console and analytics...so I'll move onto this later today. seem to have loads of different e-mails and accounts all over the place. Consolidation is the word of the day I think. The we can start.
Yes the last hour here has been hectic but it is 9 pm my time so soon I will go as I need to do some meditation and distant healing to some but that will be maybe in an hour or 2 at this stage.
I'm just aware that there are many different 'fields' of study and didn't want to assume just because I only have a limited knowledge of some...I just know that Reiki has that attribute to those able. Pretty awesome IMHO.
Yes it is pretty awesome I agree and it does work the main part of this and in fact, any form is really about intention.
The Reiki person is not the healer just a channel for the energy
It has always appealed along with Shiatsu. I have found that there is a huge interconnecting web of techniques. Not to dissimilar to the 'Internal Martial Arts' they seem to be connected on some level. A discussion for another time. Have a wonderful day Andre.
