International Women’s Day March 8th 2021

March 8th 2021 marks a special moment in World history and rightly so.

It is international Women's Day

Short History Long Post

A Finnish lady by the name of Clara Zetkin brought forth this idea in 1910 and after a short while as stated below International Woman’s Day became officially accepted and reality all around the world to bring forth their demands as part of being accepted in the male-dominant world in many areas.

In the USA the woman’s day movement for pay, hours, and rights started in 1908, and in 1919 women’s day was normally celebrated on the last Sunday of February until 1913.

In Russia just on the Eve of World War I the women marched forward for world peace their Woman’s Day was held on the 23rd of February.

After discussions, all agreed to mark March 8thas one moment in history to be the official date to celebrate International Women’s Day around the world.

To me I see International Women’s Day as not just a movement to seek equality for pay, working right, hours, or even equality in many positions regardless of being a home mother to working in higher positions in the corporate world.

My personal view of International Women’s Day and mine alone.

True this day may have started seeking demands for better equality in various areas such as pay, hours, equality, and many more.

However, I would like to see this day as much more than that.

International Women’s Day should be seen as an acknowledgment of more than seeking demands as stated but a celebration of the many marvelous and amazing achievements of many women not just from the past but also the amazing women to this day and yes this also includes the beautiful and awesome souls we have here within Wealthy Affiliate.

There are too many to mention from both outside our WA world along with too many outside the world in other areas.

So I will just mention some as otherwise, this would become a book rather than a blog post and I am sure by the time I have finished here it will be a long read. So forgive me for the length but our women both here and outside WA are certainly worth it and more.

The latest achievements for Women

Kamala Harris:

The 2020-21 US elections brought about the first Female Vice president, the first female holding such a high and powerful position along with being the first Black American US Vice President.

This is a huge leap for Women showing them that you can and will achieve much greatness and to always follow your dreams and Kamala made this into a reality because she worked hard to get there.

Please note and this is important

With regards to the above statement about Kamala Harris and her position.

I do not want any comments discussing Kamala’s position relating to your personal political preference nor do I want to hear about any negative or positive attitudes as a result of the election whether you follow or hate her because of your personal political beliefs that is your issue and not part of this blog.

I am only mentioning this as one example of a great recent achievement that Kamala as a woman has made in going forward to achieve a dream that became a reality.

Along with one to let others known to never give up on your dreams just because you are a woman, but know that you have an important place in this world at ALL levels in life.

the other point I want to state with this is that it is also against the rules to make this into a political debate along with the fact this post is not about politics but about positive and inspiring achievements that our women have given to us be it personally or for all around the world.

Should you wish to try to push your political issues or try to debate don’t. I will delete your comments if you are negative or politically incline.

Other amazing women to note:

Madame Marie Curie (1867 - 1934)

Madame Curie won the Noble Prize not once but twice for chemistry and the other for Physics her discoveries of polonium & radium also paved the way for the development of X-Rays. Think how many of you have benefited from having X-rays all due to a great mind Madame Marie Currie had to give to the world.

Here are four quotes I wish to share from Madame Marie Currie which many can easily resonate and use here in your life within Wealthy Affiliate.

Many people may not have heard of the wonderful soul but you will know the next person I will discuss as a result of Anne’s support and help,

Anne as a child contracted an eye disease called trachoma that left her partially blind and without writing or having reading skills. Y

Yet through her amazing determination and willingness to achieve great things in life Anne manages to show her unique skills to teach others who were thought to be incapable of being able to be taught.

Eventually, she became a teacher for the blind to cut it short she became a close friend and companion to the next person we all know. Helen Keller.

Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968)

After losing her sight Helen was also an advocate seeking rights for those with disabilities in particular for the blind and deaf.

After being taught by Anne Sullivan to read and write by spelling words on Helen's hand. She understood a new way of communicating to those who thought were lost in society.

Helen could feel the words written on her hand and like most amazing people with blindness see the words spoken from within.

Although Helen may have been blind, did you know that she wrote 12 books and much more, including articles, speeches along with her life?

Not to mention becoming a writer's Hall of Fame in 2015 way after her passing.

The first Deaf and blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

She also toured the US and traveled in over 39 countries supporting those with vision loss.

Not bad for someone who without the support of Anne Sullivan would have been one of those so–called lost causes due to her blindness, deafness, and inability to read or write at the time.

Yet she did become a great advocate for Women and other people around the world as we owe a lot of thanks to her and Anne in doing so.

For now, I will say I am so proud of all the achievements you have made not just here for us but for yourself in your life wanting to be a success in all you do.

Being a mother of six is already a great achievement and of course a demanding role.

You have exemplified that so much can be achieved and more when you put your heart and mind to it.

All the issues of life as a mother, worker in the nursing field along your work ethics here in Wealthy Affiliate are astonishing.

Somehow you have found a way to add a day within the 24-hour cycle as you continue to do all and keep going forward in many ways which I know you will understand.

I know many members here will agree with me how inspiring you have been to many not only sharing some personal issues but being able to blend that in how you can make them into a positive within Wealthy Affiliate.

I can’t speak highly enough of you. I see not just successful women reaching for the stars but a fellow soul who will grab those stars and feel how the Universe feels about you along your journey in life.
