Finally Surgery now on
Hi All
Just to let you know that the go-ahead for my ACDF surgery is finally going ahead.
Today I got my Covid result which was negative this was the last hurdle to get by before surgery so that is good.
I got the phone call from the hospital admin to confirm the time I needed to be there and report to the perioperative Unit reception first then go to where I have to be.
So I need to be there by 6.30 am as the surgery will be in the morning and will be staying overnight.
I will be getting an x-ray done first then when they are ready, head off to surgery.
As for the release, once done that will depend on how it goes but if all goes as planned I should be home Friday afternoon as I need to wait for my son to finish work and pick me up.
However, I won't be back online straight away when I get home as I will need to rest the neck and not strain it with any movement due to the neck brace, even simple things like typing puts strain on the neck..
So depending on how I feel will try to get back to you as soon as I can, but rest is more important as is proper recovery.
The worst part I won't like is I will have to be on a fluid diet for a few days so no solid foods yet. Not happy with that but no choice.
So now I will head off to bed earlier than my normal time and try to get some good sleep if I can and be up early ready to go.
So if I don't answer any comments that's why. Plus when it's all done may not be able to communicate over the mobile later as in some areas in the hospital the reception will be bad or unavailable.
The overnight bag is already packed and off to early sleep. now goodnight from me and enjoy your day.

I will thanks again Simone was thinking oh you while at the hospital keep thinking you would pop around the corner must have been still in a daze then LOL.
Very beautiful dream at that pity some things are dreams. Going to have another rest now shoulders are sore.
I won't had a rest since last time we spoke and will rest again just finishing off some lunch then relax
