Disclaimer:

(This post is based on my observations and thoughts and not that of Either Diane or Partha though knowing them there is always a reason to their madness or uniqueness)

Recently many of you will know that Diane issued a challenge to our Prince Partha https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/dianescorpio/blog/a-challenge-for-partha

The challenge was for his 100th WA blog post which should have no more than 100 words and one that offers pure value.

As usual Partha is always up for the challenge and guess what as usual he delivered with not only his 100th WA blog Post (congrats on that Partha) but managed to contain himself with only 100 words as still give value as challenged.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/parthab/blog/my-100th-wa-blog-post-in-just-100-words-the-old-fluff-challenge

However this was more than just a challenge for Partha.

If you think about it and go a touch deeper you will realise that as you create content and offer value for your readers intent this can easily be achieve with each sub header you have on your own content.

Partha has stated this in various blog posts here but in that case he talks about writing around the 200 word mark for each sub header you are using.

If you can write in 100 words and offer value to the question people are asking then you know now this can be done.

If you know Partha, there was never a doubt that he could successfully complete the challenge given to him regardless of any jokes we may provide.

On a Serious note

There is the deeper part of this challenge that you need to understand.

Here his post shows (and kudos to Diane for giving such a challenge) that you can easily write at least 100 words for your blog post and still offer value for your readers.

Look at it this way

On your website and you are given an easier challenge with your Meta Description of up to 160 words rather than 100 that is if you follow SEO advice.

Apart from selecting a good and relevant title for your niche post your next opportunity and most important task is to write a description of what your post is about.

Calls To Action (2 Parts)

Diane’s CTA (Part 1)

Now this may seem different to the normal CTA you are normally accustomed to but if you think about it Diane’s post was a CTA to Partha.

However it is more than that.

There are at least 3 parts to Diane’s post

The initial challenge to Partha,

The challenge to write 100 words that offer value for his readers (in this case WA members)

The third is for Partha to prove writing 100 words that offers value can be achieved.

Think about that.

Now we know that Partha is always up for a challenge and really loves it by the way.

We are already used to Partha’s Encyclopaedia Britannica version that as a touch longer than 100 words.

Well perhaps more than a touch LOL

So Diane’s Actual CTA to Partha becomes a secondary CTA to the readers waiting for Partha to respond.

Did you think about that?

One CTA with Two Intentions Within.

1 Partha to respond to the challenge

2 WA members waiting in anticipation for his response and waiting to read not only if he can do 100 words as requested but also what he offers as a result..

So

Part one: The initial challenge to Partha, done

Part Two” The challenge to write 100 words that offer value for his readers (in this case WA members) Done

Part Three: For Partha to prove writing 100 words that offers value can be achieved done

Hidden Part: Diane’s CTA for Partha along with CTA for readers to wait for a response and see not only can he do it (of course he can) but also can he add value with what he writes DONE

Change Your Script

As Cassie, https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co... another awesome members here to follow and learn from uses those magical and vital words CHANGE YOUR SCRIPT!

Here you can apply this to your post with these challenges mention above and more

Calls to Action (Part Two)

Now we know that if we are promoting something there must be a call to action within your post.

There are many forms of training here so just type Call to Action or even CTA using the magnifying glass to learn more depending which you type may give your more.

Most often you may see a CTA throughout a post and especially at the bottom of a post for a reader to click and take that action and hopefully purchase a product or service you are offering.

This is the main idea people think about a CTA however this is not the only one.

Did you realize that your Meta Description is actually your first Call to Action?

Yes it is, think about it.

When someone searches online for what they are seeking they will be attracted to your post title and then proceed to read that Meta description below it shown on Google or other searches engines as Bing and Yahoo.

This is where you will either attract your reader to want and read more or be that mosquito repellent and repel then away from you and have someone else attract them instead.

If you are offering value for your reader’s intent for what they are seeking to solve they will click and read your post.

If you don’t provide an answer to their solution or problem within your first opportunity (Title and Meta Description) to entice them enough they will just move on and click someone else’s post and you miss out on the opportunity to not only help your reader but also on any possible commission as an affiliate.

Your Meta description is vital not only to your success but also one that can actually help your reader along the way.

Your post could be the answer they are seeking and offer total value but if they don’t go past your initial description they see online along with the post title it is of no value as they will move on elsewhere.

This is is why you need to write more than a good description but one that makes them want to click more and as you continue to offer value in your post while writing unique content and offer value in helping them they will build trust with you and mostly likely take your offer.

In the meantime as you write more content and especially information content at the start you will gain authority for your website not just with Google and the other search engine's but with your readers as well to the point they will most likely come back to you as you have already gained their trust online.

Remember these important words

Helping not Selling

You can read more on offering value with your introduction here from Diane’s post to help you out further.

Refer to Diane’s post below.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...

This is why your Meta Description should be considered as your first Call To Action (CTA) not just within the post or at the end.

100 words

Now the 100 words was an internal challenge to see if Partha can actually do so without all the huff and puff normally offered before giving his all to us as members.

So why not use this insight for your blog post on your website?

If you have read any of Partha’s blogs here you will know there is much insight that is so valuable and vital for your success online.

Now he may not always agree with typically standards given but at the same time does give notice that some areas can be usefully but along the way he adds more insights you can really take advantage of and all for free and use it with what you have here within WA.

If you haven’t read any posts from Partha (where have you been hiding in a cave?) newbies accepted.

Here are just two of many to start off with that is if you want to learn to be successful online.

This is also a valuable insight for those who have just started and created their website and want to learn how to write content that adds valuable insight for your future readers based upon the niche you have chosen.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/parthab/blog/research-rankings-and-4-794-388-243-new-article-ideas-part-one

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/parthab/blog/research-rankings-and-4-794-388-243-new-article-ideas-part-two

There are much more but this I believe is a great starting point if you really want to succeed and learn additional ways apart from the core training you have here and one that can be used in conjunction with each other.

So on your blog post when are researching your title idea then your initial description as mention above your will also look for Sub Title to use here is where you can (also read Partha techniques in the links giving above)

For each sub-title write a Minium of 100 words better still around the 200 word mark that answers the question to that sub header.

We know it can be done with 100 words Partha just proved that and so can you.

If you need to write a bit more fine but don’t write too much on that particular point and you will be creating many sub-headers at least a good 5 or 6 sub headers that relate to your niche topic and also one that people are asking.

Again Partha’ post on People also ask which you can find on Google look to want people are really asking not just want you think. People are not interested in what you think but what will help them.

Let's just stick to 100 words as an example

Even if you can stick to 100 words per title and have say 5 sub headers that already equals 1000 words on your post.

Then you have your Meta Description of say 100 words gives you 1100 words already this does not add to your final thoughts or conclusion say another 100 words now it's 1200 words.

Plus any calls to action at the end which can easily be 100 words or less but say you keep that to 100 now you have 1000 words to your post and all offering value for your reader.

So just using a basic example of sticking to 100 words has just given our post a total of 1200 words

Of course you would vary your post content depends on how you answer readers intent but this goes to show you how simple it can be to create at least a 1200 word post for your content.

Don't forget you are not required to write everything around 1000 words or more if it takes you 800 words and you are offer absolute value for your reader and cover all that is needed for that niche topic that is fine.

Now we have been told to write these days around 1500 to 2000 words or more but this is not a fact and never mentioned by Google this is what they are seeking they even state that with their helpful content upgrade done recently.

This is Google link to writing helpful content they also give you a check list to see if your are doing it right and if not fix it to avoid losing your ranking.

They also mentions about word count which they don’t look for regardless of what others may say this comes from Google itself so who are you going to believe Google itself or those who want you to do it their way which is not always the right way..

https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2022/08/helpful-content-update

You will find more on this link from Google outside the helpful content

Conclusion or Final Thoughts

So now you can understand Diane’s original post with the challenge has more than what it seems and one with Partha final response give you answers that yes, one can write 100 words and offer value to their readers without the huff and puff many give along the way.

Use this to your advantage with what is stated here along with the 21st Century Dynamic Duo’s blog posts here in WA.

Both Diane and Partha have many years of experience individually that goes a long way to the early days of the online world and continue to do so now in the present and will continue ahead along the way

If you think you are saving heaps as a member of WA you may not realize that with all the added expertise your get from many members here would actually cost you thousands of dollars I am talking about tens of thousand of dollar for the knowledge they are sharing to your for free here within WA.

So count you blessings, you have so much given to you and now it is up to you to use that knowledge and actually apply it in real life on your website.

There is no excuse in saying I can’t write an 800, 1.000 or more words to a post that is total rubbish.

The real answer to that is you are either too lazy to try or not serious in wanting to become successful online.

So get those fingers typing and start creating those awesome post you are more than capable of doing and know that part of research involves reading not just looking for a keyword then taking that as your only form of research.

I fact research should be at least 80% of your work and the other 20% or less is writing content.

Once final post for you to look at wow look at that another post from Partha offering your value for free who would have guessed. Ha

Wow, that was very deep, Andre, for something that genuinely was just a fun challenge!

Thanks Diane but that is how I saw it apart from the general fun challenge hope that was OK

Andre

Of course! It was interesting to see how you related it to so many aspects of our business and websites.

And yes, we are both mad and unique, lol.

Thanks unique for sure mad well that may be one-sided not on your side but still one that is worth the madness as this form of madness adds value and fun.

Andre

Andre, you have a lot of points here. Partha could not resist typing in all CAPS. Please, readers, don't do your meta descriptions in 100 words in all CAPS. That is a bad example. I counted over 50 words he wrote in full CAPS, SHOUTING! That's cheating the challenge. In a real case scenario, will you write all CAPS for your articles? No way. Be mindful of your grammar and make sure your CTAs are authentic and trustworthy.

Thank you Brenda we Know Partha did that for this particular case but in reality, he would do it all in Caps as he did here.
But certainly yes especially to newbies reading this don't use caps with your words unless it is actually highlighting a certain word for a specific reason and not as your usual way.
As you stated Caps is a form of shouting and I have seen it here too often with some especially in chat.
Thank you for your added insight Brenda much appreciated.

Andre

Great case study and analysis Andre…right on target!

-Mike

Thanks Mike that is the way I read it going deeper.

Andre

Perfect read

-Mike

Thanks Mike

Have a great day and weekend and wishing you well with Black Friday Cyber Monday as well

Andre

Thank you!

-Mike

Cheers

Andre
