Giving Freely or Being Selfless
We’ve always being taught or told in order to get the thing your want in life is to give freely. But Selfless is not easy to come bye, but is can attracts the things you want in your own life.
My question if both can attract something in your life, which one works the best?
What are your thoughts in this topic? Which one to you agree with the more, be honest.

Interesting topic as I've been trying to work on mindfulness and positive thinking for a little while now, so as to stop me being too hard on myself and a lot of the reading I've been doing talks very much about giving because you want to, not because you have to.....well that my friend may prove hard for some of us. So the way I read things is that giving freely or being selfless are the same thing....or am I missing something here?
For example, I would think twice about giving 'freely' to a beggar cause I think well what are they going to spend my money on? But who am I to judge, so I should just give freely!
Next I have my work situation where I should share to help others grow, which I do, BUT a little voice in my head says......don't they'll take the credit!! So here in this example I'm being selfless and just give of my experience and knowledge.
Either way giving freely or being selfless believe are one of the same thing and although they may not necessarily be innate in some of us, they are something worthwhile investing time and effort in, if we believe in Karma!

I think both have the same meaning.
Giving freely is giving away something you need to help others, which means that you think of yourself 'less' than you think of others. In other words you put others' needs first before yours, so you are selfless.
This is a wonderful virture to learn and to have. The truth about this is that the world gives backs to you a million times than what you sacrificed for others, in so many different ways.
There is a trick though. Don't give because you expect something in return, give from the bottom of your heart.
So its always good to target beneficiaries such as orphans, poor people, aged people, you can name the rest

There's a fine line. Giving freely might incline people to view you as an easy mark to take advantage of. When we help someone in this environment, we can always expect help back if needed. Just my opinion. I've been around the block a few times.
