Hi Annie,

Have a watched of Kyle's training video? See if anything pops out at you. It is usually straight forward. Maybe the image you are uploading is not the correct size?

Thank you! I'll take a look at that. I didn't realize there was an additional video for that. Much appreciated.

I wrote an article the other day & only got half way through my points & it already got to 1,600 words so I stopped it there. Can I write a part 2 so I can write about

Your article can be as long as you want it to be. The longer it is, Google likes it better.

So do not split your keyword between two articles. Google will penalize you for that.

I hope this helps.

Cheers.

Edwin

Oh, but Kyle said that if the article, or even one of the paragraphs, is long people won't bother to read it. That one would be like almost 4,000 words. Wouldn't people refuse to read that long?

You could also combine them into one pillar article.

Mel

Yes, you can indeed the more the merrier :-)

Thank you!!!

No (in my opinion). It is called keyword cannibalisation. You defo don't want to do that.

When it comes to ranking google will select which one of the two articles to rank for that very same keyword. Besides, it just does not look at all that great in search results when one site dominates the results - research shows you get a lower click-through rate.

There is no reason as to why you can't or should not write longer than 16,000 articles - a few of mine a 10,000 word plus and one 15k words.

But you should NOT cannibalise keywords. Big no-no

Sorry I didn't realize the title KW was keyword I just read your post and not the title properly. Although I wouldn't recommend trying to rank lots of articles with one keyword I would use a combination of them. That being said I am not so in love with the Google Gods that I will not use the same keyword in a post more than one time, Hence my 101 Blogging Tips Title on 101 Posts. :-)

Okay, so then you don't think people will think it's too long & just not read it? Bc in the training videos Kyle said that people don't like reading things that are long & that even if any single paragraph has too many sentences people will stop reading. That's the only reason I didn't keep going. I was just worried about people taking one look at the length & going to a different site. With a shorter article.

Longer articles get more on site time. The key is not to "babble on" and to keep the reader engaged.

Thanks! I'll combine them!

Hey,

With Jaaxy down I tried using Google Advanced Search but every keyword comes back with millions of results! So I checked a keyword that I had saved that Jaaxy told

there are lots of loopholes too, and many things that break the so rules in the online market!
Like I did rank on the first page on google with three different blogs, one had only 150 words, another 254 and the other one 312 words, so not even close to 1000 words (recommended) but they were ranked on the first page for that particular search!

what I m trying to tell you it's to learn all that you can but also find your own way in the arena of the online World!

have a good Day!

Like what Eric has said, what you are seeing in Google advanced search are actually QSR or number of websites that are maybe competing or maybe related to the keyword that's why they are in hundreds of thousands or sometimes in millions.

Google is showing you much, much more than the websites that are ranking for the keyword you search for. Google shows you every single related post it can find based on every single word in the keyword. What Jaaxy does is show you the actual competition for the exact keyword based on websites targeting that exact keyword. Nothing to worry about :) Jaaxy's data is accurate.

Hey Annie, my advice is just write. If Jaaxy showed you 67 before all of this happened.

I think you can just go for it. It's better to write and post your content instead of waiting for an answer.

You honestly can't go wrong!

The one that was 67 was one i already used or I would. I only searched it bc I was sure of the QSR & wanted to see if it was the same #.

I've been trying to find another keyword tool to use in the mean time but they are all really different from Jaaxy & I can't find one I understand, that's free & that gives the data I'm looking for.

A lot of them don't tell you how many people are competing to rank for the keyword. Instead they tell you something else, for some it's how many have paid ads for that keyword i think. Some show pay per click and cost per click. Some of them give a number for organic search competition but the word love only has 54 so I'm sure that number isn't the actually amount of people who have used that word in an article. I'm at a loss atm. Do you know of any that are like Jaaxy? Something free that shows the monthly searches & actual number of articles that are competing for it?

There are many keyword tools you can use

https://backlinko.com/keyword-research-tools

1.) I tried Soovle but it didn't give the kind of info I need, only related search terms not the average searches a month, traffic or competition.

2.) Jaaxy

3.) Google Search Console seems to analyze your website to see which keywords are working for you, not tell you how many people are searching a keyword or the competition. Unless I misunderstood it which is def possible.

4.) Ahrefs Keywords Explorer requires a payment to use it.

5.) SECockpit requires a credit card number.

6.) Google Keyword Planner makes you an ad using keywords, or at least that what it tried to get me to do, but again i could be misunderstanding it.

7.) KeywordTool.io doesn't give organic competition, it gives the number of people bidding on the top ads for the keyword.

8.) Moz Keyword Explorer only allows 10 searches every month & you still have to sign up for an account plus their competition sections said they would analyze what keywords on my site & my competition are working, not who is competing for them.

9.) Keywords Everywhere isn't a site where you can search, it's a program you can download onto your computer that gives you info on all the searches you do.

10.) Keyword Snatcher costs $47.

11.) Google Trends doesn't give the stats I need either.

12.) SEMRush requires a subscription & doesn't look like the right info.

13.) KWFinder is for keyword ads also.

14.) Suggestion Keyword Finder doesn't have the right stats either.

15.) Serpstat was weird. I searched the word "advice" & it says there is only 1 competitor. So i guess that's for ads too.

Annie I will send you a private message with a few of my blogs and a couple of keyword tools as well.
Robert

strange as i have used this in the past and got very similar results between the two.
I think i told you the wrong box - are you using the exact phrase box or all of the words box - i meant to say the exact phrase.
that should get you a lot closer results.
phil

Hi Annie,
I would advise to nike it.... Just do it anyway lol.
but as for keyword reasearch and jaxxy being down. thats a bummer huh...

I also use a chrome extention called keywords everywhere,
and also do a comparison from other tools like uber suggest.

Hope that helps to get you on your way...

All the best Rob
