Where do I find my FTP account? I need to upload something to it and I can't seem to figure out where it is so I can log into it.

Thanks,
Angela

Go here, it is aged a bit but the Filezilla part is still the same, you will see what that means is explained in the training, it is very easy with pictures.

Thank you again!

Go to where you launch your site, at the far right there is a Details button, push it. Now scroll down and you will see your FTP Credentials, Name and Password. TO explain where to use this would be a monumental task on this comment system, will look for a training referral for you and be right back.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help!

Thank you so much for the resource!

This short training may help...

Thank you so much for the resource!

if it is a domain then goto websites>>sitedomains
and click on details
you wil lfind the ftp there...
or if it is a small file then why not add file manger plugin and do it right inside your site...
if it is a siterubix then you will need to go the file manager route as you don't get ftp access to siterubix....
have fun

I noticed that the premium membership says it has host owned domains. I bought a domain several weeks ago. Does "host owned" mean if I use the URL I bought, it will become th

Great questions here.

You own your domain name - no one else does. You paid for it and it is yours for one year at which time you can upgrade it.

If you develop your domain name into a website it needs hosting on a server. WA provides the hosting service for it. But you own the website. At any time you can Transfer your website to another hosting service.

You may have been confusing a purchased domain name with the free siterubix.com website. WA does own the free siterubix.com websites

As a Paid Premium member your membership covers the hosting for 10 websites.

If you wish to learn more about WA hosting and domain names here are some great links.
WA Platform links

Thanks so much for the clarification.

Glad this helped you.

Yes, Angela, you can move it if you so choose, but since you get that here included in your paid membership, why would you want the added expense?

Jeff

Good morning Angela,

Thank you for your question.

If you purchase a domain, it will always be your property. You can host your website anywhere, however, in most cases, the Wealthy Affiliate hosting works very well. They also offer customer support.

I use Wealthy Affiliate hosting for some of my websites and have a dedicated server for the larger sites.

I hope this helps.

Roy

I agree about the Wealthy Affiliate hosting working very well. I noticed that the top tier service has a limit of 1 million visitors a month. If I somehow get that wildly successful, I figured I might need to move my site in that case.

Hello Angela,

I was pretty impressed with Wealthy Affiliate hosting when I first started using their hosting a few years ago. It is also useful if you have a problem, site support can help you solve the issue, quickly.

1 million visitors is a lot in one month, I have a few websites that are quite heavy on data, hence why I have a dedicated server.

Have a great day,

Roy

Hi

You can host up to ten domains (mix of siterubix subdomains and premiums (dot coms) however totalling 10.

Domain would be purchased from Enom, however hosted with WA.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains

https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting

Biggest advantage is that you own your own dot com domains and can do whatever you want with them vs a siterubix subdomain remains the property of WA,

Yes if you purchase a dot com domain, and need cancel your subscription for whatever reason, you may then arrange alternative hosting for your website before your subscription ceases as you would be locked out the platform, site support back ups are only available for 60 days.

Also in that case, you can never revert back to being a starter.

I also suggest you backup your sites, you can use the AIO WP Migration or Updraft plugins. UpdraftPlus is a premium and highly recommended
.
Also domain names must have passed the grace period of 60 days.

Hope this helps.

Thanks you for those details and for the tips.

You're very welcome.
