How Can We Keep Balance In Life?
All this last week was so busy. It was the first week of 9 to 6 new work life. I am still in the moving mode. The process of moving involves packing and unpacking. I am still not done with unpacking. But I am excited for the change. I love my work.
I moved to this new city a week ago on Saturday. The week before was spent in packing, loading, shipping and cleaning.
There is still no internet. I was only able to bring a few utilities with me. I still need to do a lot to bring balance.
The list goes like this:
- My Health
- My Children and their academic needs
- My WA
- My business
- My House
- My work
This hexagon of my life needs a balance. Right now my new job is taking most of my time. I think I will be able to see some balance in 4 to 5 weeks. The complete balance in all parts would be so rare. So my focus is on the process. I am ready already to work hard. No stress at all.
The planning part is on.

Work-home balance is critical for our mental health. You prioritized health and family which are great. But you have so much on your plate that you will certainly make do with some extra hand.
When I first became self-employed I had exactly the same problem. Over time I discovered that if I put everything on my 'To Do List' (all work and personal stuff), and prioritised all items against each other, that I naturally achieved a better balance. If you wan to know more, just say.
Sounds like you have a lot to juggle. I find that delegation and prioritization have helped me a lot with managing.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. You are right. Right now I am prioritizing. Delegation also helps. As you said it's a lot. I need to stay away from stress too. Hopefully things will get better as I am trying my best.
