Wealthy Affiliate Journey - Early Surprises

I honestly joined Wealthy Affiliate because I was bored.

I have been out of a job for a while.

While I am actively looking for a new job, realistically it’s not going to happen anytime soon due to the pandemic, lockdowns, etc.

So, I continue applying however that leaves me with a lot of time on my hands.

At first, I welcomed the insane amount of free time, but after a while I realized the value of a job and the fringe benefits it provided:

• Socializing with coworkers
• Sense of accomplishments
• Sense of contributing to a society
• Entertainment
• Professional development
• Interesting life

There are many more that I could list here, but the main point is, that after a while I started feeling bored, and hopeless.

And then I tried the free offer from Wealthy Affiliate.

From day one, I got sucked in. I worked on the lessons and started building my website with a lot of enthusiasm.

I’m a realist so at first I wasn’t even thinking about making any money off of this. I was just grateful for something to occupy my mind; keep me busy and excited.

At first, I saw it as an opportunity to express myself and my views. I enjoy writing, so building the content of my website was a pleasant distraction from the boring norm.

What I wasn’t expecting was the pleasure and a sense of achievement that I will get from every post that I create and publish.

You guys don’t even understand, throughout the day I go visit my website and lovingly stare at it. It’s my baby and I love it (don’t tell my daughter and my dog, they might feel jealous).

At first, I didn’t even care if anyone is going to read it, just writing it and making it look good was satisfying enough.

But then I started learning about Google indexing, and then the emails about posts and pages being indexed in Google started coming in, and that gave me a new sense of achievement and the urge to do even better.

I started learning how to write better posts, how to improve my website, and how to use social media to promote my website.

I have only been a member for less than a month but my life has changed already.

I’m still looking for a job and hope I will get one, but even when I do, I will continue this journey. Also, the more I learn about the platform and affiliate marketing, ideas start forming in my head and I believe that eventually I will be able to start making money as well.

I always believed in following your passion first and putting your efforts there and financial rewards will follow eventually.

This is my approach to WA as well. I focus on what I love and I have full trust I the process and that financial success will follow.

I am very grateful for discovering WA and embarking on this life changing journey.
