Judy Google will have given you some code to copy and or a Google Analytics ID.
Where you place it depends on what WordPress theme you are using.
If you are using All in One SEO go to All in One SEO >General Settings and about 2/3rds the way down you will see a column headed Google Settings and a place to insert your Analytics ID
On some themes in the general settings there is an area to insert the HTML code that Google gives you.
Just look around in all your general settings tabs.
Good luck

Are infolinks safe ? And are they a good company to work with ?
So there is no control over what ads go on your website? I just signed up, but now not sure if I should install infolinks or not. Any thoughts?
You have no control over what ads to show. Adsense always shows ads as per the content but Infolinks ads are not so appropriated with keywords.
They are safe. I have been running them side by side with Google Adsense on one of my sites for years. Coincidentally, I got my first payment from them only this week. They paid it through PayPal. Don't expect to earn much from it though. I tried it on different types of sites I had to see how much I earned per click. There was not much difference and it was pennies earned each day. I left it on only one site and forgot everything about it. Finally got paid, but it took all of 2 years. If you have a high traffic site, you would do much better than this of course.
That's not me so. I would be kicking up the daisy's. Maybe they could pay my daughter when i'm gone lol
I tried them on my site and decided they looked ugly. I have seen them on other peoples sites and they don't look so bad, but I would never click on them and they dont seem that relevant to me. More of a distraction than anything, to your page and IM career. Thats my opinion right now anyway :)
I agree. I had them on my site and took them off as it makes your site look messy and does not always provide links that are relevant.

Is threr any training to explain these please. I keep getting confused.
Parent is the main title that encompasses all the articles you write on that particular subject. I have Dog Food as a parent, the subs are 10 things your dog should not eat, dog food recalls etc. You set the parent at the bottom right of the Edit page. I think all the other questions were covered by others! PM me if you need to Judy.
If you are going to use keywords only put one keyword in the keyword area. throughout your article you should put your keyword in bold, italics. and should link out only do this once the bold and italics. link out to your offer and other pages of
your site or other sites you have created content on. The catgory is for grouping posts or pages together.
If you've installed All-In-One SEO then you can ignore Meta on a page and post basis. You use a few Tags (I wouldn't recommend more than 6) to help users who use the search field on your website find what they're looking for. The main use for Categories is to group sets of Posts together. You can use Parent in the same way with Pages. :) Rich.
No, this would be keyword "stuffing". You should focus on helping your visitor, not a search engine, they don't buy anything. :) R. x
In a nutshell, can you explain the basic difference between keywords and tags? I've been confused about this for a bit now...

This is something you should submit as a support ticket on your websites page. They should be able to get you sorted here.

Two of my posts state that admin is the Author. How can I change it to my name as author please?
Hi Angel,
There two ways to this:-
1) delete the admin (default WP user) - recreate your name to be come administrator. Problem to this ( my gutt feel) - you probably have problem with existing plug-ins if you have installed plug ins using admin unless you have a brand Wordpress site - then you should not have a problem.
2) create another user -> nominate this user with 'author' rights. Login this new user and start editing. You should see your posting with the new user.
Hope it clarifies.

Hope you don't have installation or updates issue cause sometimes so updates may require admin - this has not happened yet on all Wordpress update but take heed.
John
When I sign into my site it keeps defaulting me to the admin author site. I think this may be why my google search is not showing authorship. How can I fix this?
Did you add a new user, which is your name? Then, set your role as administrator. And, then delete the user Admin. Save and it should show your name in the upper right hand corner.
You sure can, and even change the name on the pages you already created, Just check out this video by Kyle. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-create-a-new-user-in-wordpress
Trialynn, where did you go to get that link. I tried to give a link to a guy today, and when I opened the lesson and took the link at the top, it just gave a link to the overview of all 10 lessons. Is there a place to go where all the training lessons are listed for us to use?
Pat
I just went to the actual lesson page and copied the URL from the URL bar. I opened the video to make sure it was the one I wanted, but nothing else. I did notice that when you go to the affiliate classroom link you get all 10 lessons. Maybe you are not drilling deep enough into the URL? Sure hope this helps, cause I actually understand the question. Let me go look again and see what the URL is for the 10 classes.
I went to see if the URL changed as you went through the lessons and in level 2 for the first few lessons at least the URL does not seem to change. I assume you would have to give URL location plus lesson number - but there should be an easier way!
You can click on the affiliate link button and it will give you two options - link to the overview and a link to the actual page of the lesson. If you want to share it here all you do is strip your affiliate id from the end of the link.
