Most of us know about Facebook, Pinerest and twitter. There the most common ones, but what other sites or ways do your use to promote your site?

Also, leaving comments on sites with your site (anchor link) as a signature can be very beneficial, forums, and of course Google+ is pretty big here.
there are different forums you can promote in depending on your niche and you can join discussions also you can go blogs related to your niche and join those as well ....

Reddit.com & Digg.com. Start by submitting a link on Reddit and use the text editor to create an anchor text within reddit. Then, submit the whole text to digg, along with the Reddit anchor. Double Whammy!
