I have two websites here, using different themes. In both case I have tried to set up a sitemap in All in One SEO. In both cases, I have enabled the XML sitemap and tried to upd

Still haven't got the All in One Option working, despite several reinstalls, and using Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer (although I haven't done a request to WA support as Jude suggested), However, Dan's BWP plug-in suggestion works fine for both my sites

Glad the BWP plugin works. I checked again today and so far, I can't see it, but maybe that plugin works differently.

Try to do a manual sitemap submission in Webmaster Tools and if it is accepted, then the BWP plugin should be fine. I would check it from time to time, because if the issue is in the php coding, it does not matter what plugin you are using, the problem can resurface the next time the search bots crawl your site.

One other thing you can check is to temporarily switch to the 2014 WordPress default theme. Make sure that is always saved in your WP admin area. Some people delete it not understanding that the WP default theme is essential to maintain the integrity of the WP default settings and should never be deleted.

Then activate the AIO plugin again in the 2014 theme and see if it works with that theme. Then of course switch back to your current theme. You won't hurt anything by doing this. Sometimes this can even fix the problem for good because the default WP settings are reinstated.

If the issue persists, I would still contact WA hosting, if it were me. After all, WA recommends that we use the AIO plugin and it is automatically included in theme installs. So if a lot of people have similar issues with it, I would think they would want to know.

You do indeed have a sitemap. You can see it here, with recent changes yesterday.

Do you see the Sitemap link in the AIO drop down menu in the sidebar when you hover over it in the left menu? If you do, then the Sitemap is activated (which it seems to be)

You should not need another plugin, as the AIO takes care of the sitemap automatically, even though Webmaster Tools says they do not see a sitemap. That's because they only see the sitemap when they actually come to crawl your website.

This could be either a theme or a browser issue for the way it interprets XML files.

Which browser are you using? Can you try do to the same thing with another browser - if you are using Firefox, for example, test in in Chrome.

For now, go to your Webmaster Tools account and try manually submitting the above sitemap.xml link - see if it is accepted.

Or you can do what Dan suggests and use the other plugin. A shame to have to use another plugin when you already have one, but sometimes it can't be helped. If you do use another plugin, be sure to deactivate the sitemap in AIO, as you should only have one sitemap active at any time.

Thanks Jude. When I tried the sitemap link you showed above, I still got the same error message - so I went into incognito mode (in Chrome) and lo and behold my sitemap has appeared ... very strange.

Spoke too soon. Now I can't get the AIO sitemap to work in http://loaderinternetservices.com , either in Chrome or Firefox

Yes, that's strange, I can't see it now either, though I did the other day. If you are certain the sitemap is activated within AIO, and that manually clicking on the create new sitemap link does not work, then I suggest that you:

1. Do a full clean uninstall of both the AIO and .Yoast plugins. I suspect you may have bits of incorrect code.

2. If you use a cache plugin, make sure you clear all your cache folders.

3. Then reinstall that latest version AIO and activate the Sitemap feature.

4. If that doesn't fix it, put in a support request to WA hosting and see what they suggest. I'm thinking there could be a parsing or syntax error in one of your php folders. ~ Jude

Hi androo, easiest way i found to work with sitemaps was use a plugin called BWP Google XML Sitemaps. It automatically updates and pings google every time you add content so you don't have to do it yourself

I know it's not the answer you were asking for but it's an alternative i hope can help

I've written a new post for my website (in Rapid Writer), but when I go to my Dashboard on my website, then into the Add New Post section, all I get is a blank page. I can see t

Option 1 worked fine, Jeffrey. I had added a particular plugin, which my site obviously didn't like. I've removed it and all is back to normal. Once again, thanks for your help.

Try these step by step, you should be able to solve the problem.

1. Deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugins.

2. Switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

3. Re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

4. Increasing your available memory by adding this line to your wp-config.php file: define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');
