I have been looking all over the place for how the QSR number is calculated but haven't been able to find a formula. Anyone know what the formula is or the formula for how it
QSR is the number of competing pages in organic search. That's all we need to know. If your site is relatively new you should pick keywords with QSR less than 150.

Hello everyone, so I went to the keyword tool and typed in "Google" - something like 690million hits a month! Shouldn't the QSR for this be through the roof - the report says
Nobody ever wrote an article about Google, if you type Google on Google search engine you will only see URL's of Google its self and those what make the 99 of QSR.
There are no benefits for writing a post about Google, everyone knows what Google is, who would search for Google?
That's why there is no competition; those 99 competitors are just links of Google and Youtube.
yes, but when you type in "google" you get over 11 billion results (I checked that in the search results) - how can QSR be so low when there are so many articles to read. I guess I am wondering specifically how QSR is calculated and how accurate it really is.
No Keyword tool is accurate, they all give you estimate data, but this one is pretty obvious one to me.
Logically, you'd rank with such a post but Google will downgrade your position. Unfortunately, Google doesn't abide by its own rules; while it preaches transparency, its search results are manipulated, promoting its own content! Even web heavy hitters like Yelp and TripAdvisor, to name a few, are rolling with Google's punches.

I have read several articles online from reputable sources that suggest, amongst other things, that making your domain information public will help increase your Google trust l
I don't think it affects your rankings in any way and there is a ton of proof among WA members.
I would agree with this. Having public info validates your entity however, I have affiliate sites that have hidden whois data and they rank fine and make great money
