Does Wealthy Affiliate Really Work? More Proof!

Last Update: September 21, 2017

Hello to everyone out there in the world of Wealthy Affiliate! Today I wanted to share a little something with you that hopefully you will find encouraging and inspiring. This will be especially important if you have yet to get your business off the ground or you haven't seen any money coming in yet.

It's quite common for people to get very frustrated when creating an online business. Despite everything that we have here at Wealthy Affiliate, it can be hard to push forward when we aren't seeing the money roll in. Building an online business never happens overnight! How quickly you start earning money will entirely depend on the time and effort that you put into your business.

Today I wanted to share something with you that just goes to prove how your business can grow and evolve over time. I started building the Make Money Online Zone website in October 2015. It took around 4 months before I saw any sign of money. I could have done things faster but I was working on another project at the time. Going on previous experience before I joined Wealthy Affiliate I knew that I had to gain the trust of Google if I was going to get good search engine rankings.

After writing around 50 articles for The Make Money Online Zone website, things really started to pick up. During that time there was a noticeable increase in traffic and I was starting to make a few sales.

2 Of the products that I promoted at the time are still paying me a monthly commission to this date.

To this date, promoting these two products have grown into 65 sales and over $2000. And that is just the tip of the iceberg... Since creating my website I have moved onto promoting several other products, including the Wealthy Affiliate membership. My site has now made thousand of dollars, for which I am truly thankful.

You can see more about my online earnings in these two blog posts.

So does Wealthy Affiliate really work?

There is no doubt that the Wealthy Affiliate training really does work. But if you have yet to see any signs of success, let me tell you the secret...

The real secret to success within Wealthy Affiliate is in creating content on a regular basis. I first noticed a change in my site when I got to around 50 articles on my site. Since that time I have published many more! My site grows stronger the more I publish. The more keywords I target, the more traffic I get.

I believe the key to success is in targeting your audience as much as possible, creating quality content and sharing regularly on social media. And that's it!

If you are still struggling to get traffic to your site, you might also find this post helpful:

And here is some training that I put together on optimizing your content for the search engines.

Hopefully this post will give encouragement to the newer members of the Wealthy Affiliate community and those that are yet to see their business become successful.

Have a great day guys!

Andrew

It's great to hear of your success. Being in Internet marketing for about 18 months I've struggled in bits and my personal blog is where I've found it most hard to keep content going. It's very interesting to hear that 50 articles seems to be a point of traffic increase and is most likely why my site, along with others, never really picked up. On this basis I'm going to really have another go and get some great content created with an aim for 50 audience keyword targeted blog articles written before the end of the year, that's and article a day, but possible. 10x eh.
Look forward to hearing more of your successful story. Thanks. Chris.

Yeah, I dont think there is an exact science behind how many posts you should create in order to get more traffic, but there is definitely a point where Google seems to give you more trust. My advice would be to just create content whenever possible. Remember at the end of the day, quality is also a major factor too.

Good Morning Andrew,

Thank you for this post, for me, it works like a good pep talk. I am only halfway with my 25 posts for each of my 2 websites so I understand I still have a long way to go. The more I learn along the way the better the posts are getting. Put a video, internal and external links, you name it. There are so many things one has to think about. My websites are focused on spreading the news on the subjects of my interest but I would not mind earning some money in the future. I think you have missed my monthly WA post which I published some days ago, please have a look. All the best.

I will certainly check out your posts. Thank you for reaching out and I'm pleased that you found the post helpful here. It's true that when you write, your writing does evolve over time. You just continue to get better the more you do it.

Greetings from a rather dull England by the way! I would rather be in Spain right now!

Take care,

Andrew

Hi Andrew. I can see the tip of the iceberg now that I am getting sales and a bit more traffic. I can see how it works! I need to keep adding content though. I know that is the biggest thing I need to do. Life keeps getting in the way. Everything has been picking up on my site regardless though!

I always appreciate your updates! I like your advice!

Hi Jessica! Great to hear that you are starting to see some good results. I know what you mean about life getting in the way! Eventually I would like to write my blog full time, but as you say there is always something to distract you!

Never the less, fantastic news about your site. I wish you continued success.

Take care,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew. I have figured out recently that comments really boost my search engine rankings for my website posts. (Specifying 'website' here since every time I try to explain this someone always thinks I mean WA ranking and WA posts!).

It is really amazing how much comments can pull a post up through the ranks on Google etc. Do you notice that? I have seen this work, literally overnight.

Right! It can take time to build an online business. I know some people come into this community expecting it to be a miracle system that creates money on auto-pilot, but in reality nothing works like that. Hard work and dedication is what your readers expect from your content and what Google wants to see too. In time the hard work pays off.

You speak the truth more than anything else. Consistency on producing content is the key and the right content is also important which in turn makes that quality content.

I have over 220 posts on my website, but I've made very little money and I believe I know why. While 220 posts does seem like a lot, part of the issue is how long it took me to get to 220 posts and what most of those posts center around.

You see, I should have A LOT more posts considering my site has been around for almost 4 years, but my biggest issue is that I have not been very consistent on when all of those posts were done on my website.

Second, I haven't been promoting as much as I should have. I only have 6 official reviews on my site when there should be more. I've mostly posted about different aspects of one of those products and how I utilize those aspects, but never had a clear call to action at the end of those posts.

I realize now that I'm letting fear hold me back because I have fear of being a pushy salesman and people getting sick of my content because of it, but if you truly love a product and want others to share in your enjoyment of it, there's no reason you shouldn't tell others to buy a specific product because of the enjoyment it has brought to your life.

So now I'm trying to develop a consistency plan and starting to do some more promotion. I'm still creating posts of my experiences of the products I use, but now at the end of my current posts (not all, but some), I create a clear call to action by saying something like "Do you want to have a similar experience to what I just talked about above? If so, Amazon has an amazing deal for (said product) that you just don't want to miss out on so pick up a copy for yourself today and explore the country just as I have".

My goal for one year is to put much more of a heavy focus on product promotion and start shifting away from Google AdSense as well as utilizing Jaaxy a lot more and get better rankings and putting out much more content consistently. I've been going back through the training to catch things I may have missed and it has been extremely helpful.

Wow, thank you for sharing your story. I was exactly the same as you in the begging. I had several fears that held me back from success. Firstly, I had a fear of being boring and writing posts that were too long. Secondly, like yourself I didn't want to come across as being a pushy sales person. And finally, I also had a fear of promoting anything that I perceived as being too expensive. I now realize that I had it wrong on all three counts.

You can make money online without even trying to sell a product. Simply showing the reader where they can get the best deal is often all it takes, after an informative review. Lots of content and longer posts give your site authority. You have no problem with content though from what you are saying.

I think you are right to try and focus on keywords more. You might also find it beneficial to get more involved within your niche. Being one of the first websites to release a piece of news or review of a product often puts you in a really good position within the search results.

Going back through the training is also a good idea as the training here at Wealthy Affiliate is often updated with new material.

I wish you the very best of success for the future and hope that you will be able to share your success story on here soon. You are definitely on the right tracks with your 220 posts!

Take care,

Andrew

Thank you Andrew for sharing that and understanding what I've been going through. You're definitely right in that I need to get more involved in my niche. I certainly need to start visiting the forums more often and participate in them, not just to promote my site, but to offer help when needed and see what the biggest problems are that people in my niche are facing.

Going back through the training has been immensely helpful this far and I found some things in the training regarding Google+ that I missed my first go round or was it was just recently updated. I definitely want to have a great success story and this year I can at least say that I've gotten my first affiliate sales, I just to be more proactive and consistent so I can reach my financial goals.
