I've watched your video and decided on a niche. Gaming Blogs and Product Reviews. What do you think about this? I think the blogs will help me appeal to other gamers by giving

Andre,
This is a great niche! You can do so much with it. All the different products and games. You don't have to stick to just console gaming, you can talk about game apps. as well. I have spent too much time and money on terrible game apps, something like that could help me, and I'm sure plety of others out there.
See if you can get interviews with start up gaming companies or game/software designers or anyone relevant to the game industry. Maybe a winner of a video game tournament. They would love the extra attention.

Much success to you,
Ken

I think Gaming is a great niche! You can do so much with it, reviews of games, controllers, consoles, headsets, chairs and so much more. You can even make your own YouTube videos. I know you will do amazing things with this niche because you are passionate about it. : )

hey hi Andre & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate starter!

Super question and all questions are good ones here.....

You've got a good discussion thread going here and frankly, Ferra's got a most helpful answer / reply for you ....

All the best to you for every Success, cheerio ... :)

For what it's worth, my thought is that this definitely has the potential to be a viable niche. Will you be creating your own gaming blog, or reviewing other gaming blogs? I think that either of those two ideas could work.

The cool thing about niches is that you can go more narrow, and get super specific about a handful of products, or go a bit more broad to cover a wider variety of things. It's up to you, ultimately.

Disclaimer: I've only been around WA for a month. Perhaps some more veteran marketers are required for a second opinion.

Best of luck,

Pat

My idea was to have my blog paired with products and games I use. The idea was to give a fun yet informative presentation along with a written review of products, games, and events.

Very cool. I agree with my friends below - Ferra has some good advice about specificity of niche/target audience. All the best to you. You're gonna do great, just keep at it!

The gaming niche is good, but it's competitive, so you would need to choose a sub-niche and be specific. If you choose games, there are so many competitions, then your website can't make good traffic, and $.

The sub-niche example for the gaming niche: PS4 Pro

How do gaming websites make money?
Various game publishers provide an affiliate marketing program. The best way is to join any affiliate program of game publishers. They will pay you some percentage on every game sale. Starting Games Website business is an evergreen business to earn money online.

I would say, do your research on the target audience you would like to help to solve their problems. What kinds of products you would recommend or review on your website?

Also, check out the competitions. How do they serve their audiences?

Try Kyle's trick in finding affiliate programs within the niche you choose by Googling: "your niche+affiliate programs."

For example: PS4 gaming + affiliate programs

Here is the link to Kyle’s post about Target audience where you can find ideas for great niches. All the best,
Ferra
