Ok - I've had some success with Google ranking - 3 pages ranked 4, 5 and 9 for 2 sets of long-tail keywords - this was an absolute surprise as, although I trust the process, I just wasn't sure I was doing the right thing and I was getting a litte confused as to whether I should just inlcude one key word per article or 2.  Anyway some tweaking got me there (along with around 20 articles) and I'm keen to see how this niche pans out in the future.

Continuing to write articles, backlink and bookmark them. Researching other niches. 

Taking the actions that PotPieGirl has suggested in her #1000 post from the forum.  Written a couple of articles and submitted them to two seperate directories.  Remains to be seen if there will be any interest over time and to test this market.
