I just posted a new blog as a book review --

Would anyone be so kind as to check it out for me? Here is the link:

Struggled with it, but I think it's okay. I can accept criticism, so bring it on!
Thank you!

Nicely done.

Thank you...!

I forgot what I learned when I was a student. You revived it. I may follow what you did.
I commented in your site.

Thank you! Very much appreciated!

I've put a comment on your site, Amy, and as for feedback about how it's written it's very easy to follow and understand and your personal experience gives it that bit extra.
Hope that helps?
Cheers
Rich

You're the best and thank you...!

You're welcome :-)

Hi Amy, Your post has sparked my interest as I recently had an encounter with cancer and am always looking at ways to improve my diet. I will definitely be following your blogs!

I agree with comments below about personalising the review. People love to hear your story- that is what will capture them!

Then you absolutely need to read Nature's Cancer-Fighting Foods. It was a life-changer for me and helped me to feel empowered after my diagnosis. All the best to you.

Thank you will do so!

Hi Amy. I noticed how nicely organised your review is. I need some help with placing photos/product ads in a row on my posts. I would also like to know how to place an ad in the sidebar. If you don't mind could you please tell me which plugin you are using?

Thanks, Eril --
When you place photos in your post, you just need to put the cursor next to the text where you want the photo to appear -- then when the photo pops in, if you hover your mouse over the image you have the option to make it larger or smaller, and you can click on one of the tiny icons that show you where the photo will sit -- to the right or the left of the copy, etc.

I didn't use a plug-in to place ads in the sidebar. I went to my Widgets in the dashboard, and selected the TEXT widget on the left side, and dragged it to the right side which shows the layout or line-up of the sidebar items. I dragged it to where I wanted it to be, which you can test out and move around as needed. I then copied and pasted the HTML code from the affiliate company and put it into the text window, hit update and there it is. I had to fool with it a couple of times to get the right placement.

I'm not thrilled with this set-up as I wanted my affiliate ads to be side by side in the sidebar and that seems to be something that there is no solution for -- at least no solution I can find.

Hope this helps,
/a.

I am sure it will help. Thanks a mil Amy for taking the time to explain it all to me. Much appreciated!

Anytime!

Hi Amy, this is the first book review I have actually read. You did really good, I would by the book based on your review.

Thank you, Lori...! I appreciate that...!

Well-written.

As Veronica said, I would beef it up -- particularly if you had personal experience in using the book. You can sell that book like no one else!!

Thanks, Steve...! Point well taken. May I send you the revise?
/a.

Sure. I would love to see it.

Thanks...!

Greetings,

This is well written, Amy, but I think you need to beef it up a bit. If I'm reading a book review, I want to know more about what led that person to start reading that particular book. I think you just scratched the surface. Also, it's good to list some bullet points, in this case, listing the benefits of microbionics.

Below is a link to Roberts post on elements to have in your blog; I would encourage you to read it if you haven't already. I decided to add it to my favorites because it's definitely something I can use as a guide.

Hope this helps, Amy.

Veronica

Hi Veronica,
Thanks so much for your comments, and I think you are correct.
I was tired when I wrote the blog, and I guess it shows...! Back to the drawing board!
Where/how do you save favorite articles and tutorials from WA...? I come across such great stuff, and I can't figure out how to save it, aside from my bookmarks. Is there a place within our profiles here to save favorite articles?
Thank you again,
Amy

I hear you, Amy! Sometimes you just want to get that blog finished. Isn't it great that we can go back and fine tune it whenever we want! There are some blogs that I revised over 10 times!!!

So, here's how to save posts and add them to your "favorites":

- When you open a post, you'll see a white star in the top left corner.
-Click the star, it will then turn yellow.
-A box will appear, and you'll need to "enter tag". This is the name you want to give that post.
- Click " add tag"
- Go to your profile, and the top of the screen, you'll see a dialog box with the blank star, click the star and a list of everything you saved will appear.
- If you want to delete anything from that list, just click the yellow star next to the post and it will delete it the next time you open your favorites.

That is HUGE news to me and thank you...! So excited to start using this function...! Who knew!
Yes, it is very cool that we can go in and change the post as many times as we want to! Have I seen your site?

It's funny how long it can take to "discover" some things here. It wasn't until after I was on this platform for 5 months that I discovered how to refresh, lol.

I don't know if you've ever read any of Robert's (Boomergp08) training before, but his tutorials are so clear with a lot of examples that ca be easily followed. I have quite a few "favorites" but it was one of Robert's tutorials that got me out of the keyword slump phase. I spent weeks on the training!!!

Glad it was helpful to you, Amy!

I should check them out. I am in a keyword black hole and can't quite figure it out. Is your site complete?

What's your definition of "complete", lol. I have blogs, comments, and a few affiliate links; I got some great feedback through Site Rubix (have you used that yet?) so I want to devote some time this week to implementing the suggestions given.

Interestingly enough, I had already thought about most of what was suggestions, I was just hesitant from making the changes. I sometimes feel as if I am forever in revision mode, so it got a bit overwhelming, but I really want to make those changes.

Thank you Veronica for your tips! We never stop learning....

Excellent!!!

I feel the same way -- it's never actually "complete"...!

This worked great but I realized that what I want to save are messages back and forth on someone's personal profile. Maybe I can copy and paste the message -- thanks!

Oh, I see....

Macrobiotics is interesting Amy!

I think so, too! Thanks.

Well done

Thank you!!!

Wow! Very well done.
Great website too.

Really? Thanks!
