Back after many months!
Good day, WA folks!
It has been many months since I've been on this platform, and consequently I have lost my ranking from 106 to 2600, and have lost track of so many things, not the least of which is my own website.
I've been tied up with personal obligations, and other volunteer work I do for my local synagogue which has been sucking up way too much time. I have also changed jobs twice and so that has been exhausting!
My goal is to pick up where I left off and try again at making this work. I want to update my website and catch up with all of you.
Any suggestions on where to begin? I've caught up with Kyle's blog posts. I guess I will also go into the Activity section and read up on what people are writing about. I'm open to suggestions, and look forward to seeing you around the platform!

Ahh...it's good to see my Long Island friend again!
I know you have already completed the Certification, Amy, but it's been updated. I would encourage you to go through it again - lesson by lesson, course by course - and see what areas on your site need to be tweaked and which areas need a complete overhaul.
I actually purchase a new domain name and transferred everything from my old site to the new one. I'm also in the process of revamping...turns that there were a lot of things my posts were missing.

I've done it and I've read of others who have gone through it twice. It would be a good way to "refresh" and possibly pick up on some new tips.
Just a suggestion; it's a tedious process, but worth it.

I just went to your site. It looks so good! I left you a comment. I really recommend requesting comments to raise your post rankings in Google and the other search engines. That would be a fairly easy way to pick things back up.
I have started my nutrition site recently as well! I am very excited about it.

Hi welcome back Amy to the WA community. I too just got back from a few months off dealing with foot pain and the foot surgery. The foot pain was so bad I couldn’t think straight. I’m better now and in physical therapy.

You are back and it glows! I can understand when other obligations have to be met before others, our world of endless tasks may not end, and choosing is important.
I would recommend going back to Bootcamp Phase 1 and possibly move through the entire training and only review those areas you feel need attention to re-gain effort to your existing website. Also, there have been some great video series to check out in "Live Video Classes", one from Kyle for 2018 and another that may of been in 2018 or end of 2017 going over the New Google requirements.

And that's not too much of a drop :) What matters though is that you keep going a little a day and that you get your website going again!

Welcome back Amy. I see you've been given some good suggestions, so I don't have anything to add other than best wishes with updating your website and getting back on track. Your ranking will soon improve. Mine has been dropping rapidly but it's not the most important thing to focus on.

Welcome back to WA! As I'm sure others mentioned, I think a great way to start back up again would be to re-visit the training videos. Those months away may have left you a little rusty!
The other thing I would suggest is to re-integrate yourself slowly and consistently. Do not feel like you need to spend 10 hours a day here getting caught up on what you missed. Overwhelming yourself won't do you any good.

Welcome back Amy. If it were me I would focus on getting my website back into good health. Perhaps redo the training since much of it has changed over 2017, and finally while doing that I would check out the activity section to catch up on what people have been doing and blogging about.

I didn't have time to work much on my online business around the Christmas Season either. It's always hard work to restart and think things over again.
I've joined Bo's GoGetters Training, that's just great. Perhaps you can join it too, even if it's already started monday last week. You can always ask BoTipton if you're interested.

Great to have you back Amy. I'm sure your rank will be soaring again soon. I agree with Dennis, your engagement with the community will happen naturally. Just go with the flow and focus on getting your sites... the ranking will follow all by itself, I'm sure. Good luck and look forward to seeing you around again. :-)
