You cannot download, then re-upload the video to YouTube. That would be considered copyright infringement, no matter who the video owner is.

Yes what Judebanks wrote is a simple way of doing it that many do not know about.

I would need to see exactly what code you are pasting in there - it could be a simple little typo or space issue.

Another way to do it is to use the Image widget, instead of the text widget.

1. Copy and save the banner to your computer.
2. Upload the banner from your computer to WP media library.
3. Go to Appearances > Widget: Add the Image Widget
4. In the widget, hit "Add Image" and select banner from library
5. Click Edit button, new image edit window opens
6. Go to Link, and from drop down menu, choose 'custom link'
7. Copy your affiliate link to notepad first (it cleans the code)
8. From notepad, copy the link into the image Link field.
9. Tick Open in a New Window

They told me to use Grammarly and since then this helped me so much. Since my first language is Dutch I knew this would be of great use but I didn't know how powerful this tool was until I started using it.

So I strongly recommend anyone to use this tool. If I remember correctly you just have to sign up on their website and this will make a kind of extension to your browser. Don't freak out if you see red lines everywhere in your texts as you write lol.
