The End of the Road

As I come to the end of the level 2 training, it feels as if I have come to a turning point. The point of whether I should continue going forward, or stand still at the stop sign.

I don't really feel as excited as I probably should. I feel more exhausted and I am trying to put myself in the walking shoes of other new comers. The training can be challenging. If you don't have the ability or the endurance to do something everyday, you feel lost. Not only do you feel lost, you feel as if you are alone. Even though the WA Community is always here. It does not take away the empty feeling of being alone, and you can't even see down the street. Lest of all, you can't see "The End of the Road".

You second guess everything that you do. You wonder if your post, or you blog is good enough for others to see. You feel as if you are always behind or not meeting your own set schedule. You feel as if you are not doing enough to keep up with the rest of the community.

It does not matter that you have only been in the program for a month or less. The pressure to get ahead is always in your mind. The pressure of being accepted is in your head.

As you approach the end of level 2 another challenge strikes: Ambassadorship and Ranking. So, you look at where you are currently your ranking numbers are in the thousands and you think to yourself. Is this the Impossible Dream! Is this worthy of my time and energy?

How will I ever make the top 12? When you can't even imagine being in the top 100. Especially when your rank is in the thousands.

This can either motivate you or sink your dream ship.

I am pretty good at motivating myself. But, not all new comers are. I wonder when you get to the fork in the road, are you able to see the road straight ahead of you, Or, do you see a crooked winding path? Are you able to self motivate? or do you feel like you are lost and there is no lifeline?

Our lifeline is the WA Community, Kyle and Carson are also here. So, we have to find an internal strength to reach out and grab hold to something solid. Believe that we are on the right path to success.

But, that is not always easy to do if you are shy or unable to embrace new strangers and try to fit in. You will feel like the "new kid on the block". Or an old kid with a new problem.

I want to tell myself and all the new comers that "You are not alone", you are not at the "End of the Road"! It is a straight path to success.

We are on a remarkable journey that takes more time than most of us have or want to admit to not having. Myself included.

Stay focused. The end of the road never really ends!

WA Community thank you for reading and trying to relate and relive a moment in time of a place where you have already traveled. And ne members, pave the way for yourself and for others to follow.

Dear Anna,
When I started with WA on August 22, this year, I hoped that I made a right choice this time. After two days I was sure I did and became very enthusiastic. I started the training and started following other members. Then I became overwhelmed about the amount of time I had to put into the training and answering posts and messages from my fellow members.
I am still enthusiastic, and I am convinced that I will be successful with WA. I remembered a saying that I learnt a long time ago: "Inch by inch, everything is a cinch."
Now I spend less time per day at my WA project and love it even more.
And, as you said with other words, WA is an ongoing lifestyle.
Let's have fun doing it.

Have a great weekend,
Hanco.

Thank you Hanco, I am going to reply with a line from the commercial Heffty bag: "I want to have fun doing it"?

As you say Anna the path is straight. You are also helped along the way, not just by the training but also the members who are active.

I would suggest you not worry about ranking and ambassadorship as these don't earn you any money. It is your website you need to concentrate on as that is where the income will be found.

Many of us feel our writing is not good enough for others to read, but we are still here and still writing. We can be our worst critics at times and unnecessarily so.

Derek

Good morning from Indiana. Thank you Derek for your words of encouragement. You are absolutely correct, the WA Community is very instrumental in being available when needed. Again, thank you.

You're welcome Anna.

Derek

Hi AMelcher1,
You're on the right path. Everything you explained in your post happened to me and others here in WA.
You need to focus on planning for the long term. If you plan your steps properly, you will have less doubts because your working towards your goals.
Tip: My favorite part of WA training is the last course. It teaches you to plan your tasks for success. Read this post: Think about it, if you have everything planned and you take action, you have less chances of failing.
Hope this helps.;0)

Thank you for sharing the goal setting link. It puts all things in perspective.

Here's the deal people. Affiliate marketing is no different than any other endeavor towards success. It's no different than a young athlete that trains HARD to be the best they can be in their sport. It takes work,...hard work. Yes, some people do get jump starts or have certain advantages, but fortunately, MOST of us have to start at the bottom (and yes, I said fortunately). The road is going to be lonely because every move you make or don't make is your own decision; and you know every decision will have a potential consequence, whether you see it coming or not. It's like the game of chess...you against your opponent, but in this case, your opponent is....YOU.
Now, I will admit that I have not been aggressive in this marketing game, but I still have the 'chessboard' set-up on the table. I am still learning how the pieces move, but once I understand movement and which pieces are expendable, I will be in a better position to know if I will WANT to put forth the hard-work and dedication it will take to achieve my definition of success. This indeed will be a lonely road and I don't know how long this road will be, but it will be my lonely road with the hopes of one day making it yellow for family & friends to enjoy walking on. Good luck to you all and may God be with you all.

Great analogy, Ira!

Mel

Thank you

Very well said, Ira!

Jeff

Thank you. I am still on the road to success!

I am very glad to hear it, Ana! No matter what life throws at you, stay on that road!

Jeff

Wow, I can relate to you so much Anna! Especially that whole paragraph about second guessing.

The first month and a half I had so many doubts but after that, I turned a corner at least when it comes to believing that I can make a website and earn money using this system.

I still have a billion things to learn but I'm just going to keep going. I hope you stay and we can talk each other through our doubts!

No shame in deciding it's not for you though.

Lisa

Thank you Lisa. I am not going anyplace. I was venting. I pray my writing was not misleading by causing others to think I am a quitter. Far from it! Thank you for encouraging me and assuring me of any choice I make, you are available for support.
