I believe those earning an income within the first 3 months are the exception rather than the rule.
I made nothing from my first website in a year. Started over in a new niche and with a better strategy and got it up to $2,000 a month in under 6 months
You're right. It does take time to make money. I've been here since February and still haven't made my first sale, but it takes time and a lot of writing. Once your website gets better Google rankings then you'll see progress. The training does take time. Stick with it. Don't ever give up. Wealthy Affiliate now has over 1,000,000 members to help you. Don't be discouraged. I'm a single, stay at home mom of two and I homeschool them :/ LOL. I also work from home, so I am moving slowly too. I also have nieces and a nephew that I play with and attend their school events. Just allow yourself patience. I've only been getting up a post a week, I think I can do more and I will at some point but I'm also allowing myself to enjoy the family life because time really flies when it comes to our family. Hang in there :)

Could anyone offer advice on how to set up an email for my website? myname@mywebsite.com?
Is it automatic when you create your website or do you have to set it up yours
Click on website & hosting and go to the email tab at the top of the page. I choose the forward option so emails are forwarded to my private site.
Looks like you need to watch the training,as you have a lot of questions asked:) The training is excellent:)
I might be getting ahead of myself. lol I have been working through the trainings step by step and this hasn't been covered yet...unless I missed it somehow!
sometimes you have to go back and review-thank goodness we can access it always-or I would have been lost,as my memory is not the greatest! LOLOL:) Glad to help:)
If you need an email for one of your sites-you need to install a plug in."Easy sign up" or email subscribers and newsletter:)
? that plugin gets people to give you their email, it helps you build an email list, but it doesn't give you your site email

To create an e-mail for ur site you just go to siteRubix and over towards the right side you will see siteEmail.
You can create a main e-mail or an e-mail forwarding in there :)
