My Adsense went live last weekend. Ever since, every time I view my website there is a new ad there. Obviously these ads are random but they are relevant to my niche. As such I

Don't do it! They will catch you out and will ban you forever! They have an algorithm all sorted out for this!

Find secondary sources of information that avoid the commitment of a click. Google for the description of the ads and companies that sponsor them in order to get and research information without being targeted.

Lol

It's always best not to do it. And some people think they can get their friends to do it. But, Google claims to be able to figure it out. Whether or not that is true, it's not worth taking the chance of getting banned forever.

One suggestion is to visit competitors' websites and look for similar ads on there. You may find similar (or even the same ads) being displayed and you are allowed to click on those. I wouldn't go crazy doing this though as most of the information from the ads can be found in organic search as well.

Best Regards,
Jim

Yes indeed. Usually I just Google the company of the ad so I can find out more about it. I just have to take a second to think before I just instinctively click the ad....guess that is how these ads are supposed to work though!

I am re-doing my "Best places to shop" page. Although I have been accepted as an affiliate for a few affiliate programs for my niche, there are 3-4 key websites that I have eit

I think providing links to companies that are relevant to your niche is a good service policy. I provide several because I know they apply to my niche and I know that they get searched a lot. It helped me get on Google in the first place. Good luck. s

Your best selection is links that are niche specific and will help build your business. It would be the best option regardless of the % of non compliant responses. Remember that there may be a delay in some of them and response can show up.

If it is relevant to what you are talking about or the content of your article it can help your page rank and go towards increasing page authority, so even if it doesn't pay you directly it will help your page, as long as the links relate to your subject directly.

I didn't realize it could actually help my page. The links are certainly relevant. Thanks!

I personally provide links to things I talk about, whether I initially have an affiliate link or not. Then, when you've built sufficient traffic to be approved as an affiliate, go back and update the links.

This is what I was thinking of doing. Thanks for your input.

I don't currently have an affiliate disclaimer on my site and I feel I should add one.

Either text widget or just link in the sidebar, perhaps both, I have seen people having long and short versions. I do not think this is completely according to rules but have not seen many following the rules very strictly. Amazon wants it in the post, but this looks ugly.

Dreamer is right. That's what I did down on the lower part and titled it "legal stuff."

You can take a look. It covers the legal angle and it's not intrusive.

You can add a text widget Amber and place in it.

First, you write it in the visual editor. Then open the text editor and copy & paste the code into a widget. This should work just like an affiliate link. Try it on a wreck site if you have one.....

By the time I got here this has been heavily mined. Nevertheless here is another authoritative comparison source. http://htmlcolorcodes.com/

He beat me to the answer, but here is your color thingy.

You do not need plugin for this. In Text mode add this:

You can change colors.

YOU ARE AWESOME!
I know next to nothing about coding but this worked fabulously and so easily. I've spent an hour today with Zedity trying to get the same effect!

Now how do I change the colour? I see where the code says "aliceblue" but how do I know the colour names?

Thanks so much!

Cannot find the link with all color codes. These are that I use frequently:

SeaShell , WhiteSmoke , Silver , PapayaWhip , PowderBlue, OldLace, Moccasin , LightGray , LightCyan , Ivory , LavenderBlush , HoneyDev , Azure , Beige ,

Hi there, can I put this code in my header for WordPress so it will update WordPress forever? Thanks for your time. Cheers AJ
