As long as you continue to publish content regularly getting indexed is inevitable. Continue pushing out great content!

It can take time to have posts indexed with millions of post being published. It is important to make sure that you do keyword searches and that you follow the advice of your SEO plugin whether it is All in one SEO , Yoast or something else.

I had this same problem in the beginning. The more posts you have the better chance they get indexed. Make sure to use Jaaxy too. It was taking weeks before and now it takes days. I am six months in. Also, make sure to follow what everyone else is saying.

Diane has given a great explanation here.
The best success we can have for getting our posts indexed is to follow the WA training SEO checklist.

Here is the PDF download from Jay, WAs webinar instructor.

Hi - don't rely on Site Content, it's not always accurate. Check for yourself in Google.

Type it like this

site:mydomain.com

Obviously, replacing mydomain with the name of your website.

Indexing doesn't mean you will get traffic, it's just the first step in the process. Even if your posts are indexed, you might be on page 11 or page 15 of Google etc, so of course, nobody scrolls that far.

Ranking is the most important factor, when Google looks at your content and decides if it fully covers what someone is looking for, and if your post is better than other websites that are using the same keyword.

This can easily take 6 months from when you published each post.

Having said all that, assuming that your site is about 5 months old and probably has about 40 posts by now, it does indicate a problem if you genuinely only have one post indexed.

If that is the case, then you should probably ask for feedback to see if anybody can find an obvious problem.

Background: I have been with WA for only a short time ( roughly 5 months). I got through the 2nd set of lessons which raised some questions for me. So, I tried to reach out to

👋 Hi,

Besides the laws and regulations you have to keep in mind, it would be better to have an actual business license if you intend to dropship (or have sole proprietorship - whatever). Drosphipping is relatively easy and cost-efficient, but finding good suppliers can be quite tricky. Also, writing and then managing that online store by yourself will require double the amount of time you would have to invest and might take you back 2 steps behind on "earning money" unless you have another person managing the other site.

There's a lot of considerations too when you start a dropshipping business. Research, profitablility, etc. On top of that, being an authority over your niche will also pull a lot out of your time.

If you are not in a rush to gain income, then you can go ahead and do two in a single time. But, if you want to earn the money in the shortest possible time, maybe focus on one goal first - that is, to either start the ecommerce business or the affiliate marketing business.

I hope this helps,
💎Kimmy

For the e-commerce( shopify) store, I would definitely need a business license to start( LLC.).

I agree with you again that finding- and affording- quality drop shippers would be a major initial issue.

And you probably have a point that trying to come up with content, and learn website building, editing, Learning to add/delete media from my articles, the list of things i still need goes on and on. So to add another site that i have to research and build even though its mostly drag and drop still would be a lot on anyone's plate

Thank you for you're thoughts, you brought up some good points.
Thanks again

Hey,

I'm glad I was able to provide some input. Also, don't get caught in the "Shiny object syndrome", I've been there. It didn't do me any good. XD

Here are some of our thoughts. Shopify may have the monetization set up but getting traffic is difficult and we have seen people in WA try it and stop, but that doesn't mean you can't make it work.
It seems like you think of a niche as products

A niche is something you feel super excited to write about, a skill you have attained, something that resonates with you. You will want to be focused on one niche. What is it that you want to help a group of people with or what problem do you want to help them solve (group could be age, gender, location, experience level, degree or type of need, etc.)

A niche is not a product, it's a subject that you can help a target audience with. Remember, you are not setting up a shop (store), you will be writing lots of articles about your niche to help your targeted audience.

The importance of a targeted audience is that It's always better to target a specific niche with a specific solution to problems.

Kyle asks us to complete this statement.
'i want to help ____(group) with ______(problem)'

What are you passionate about (topic)? how and who do you wish to help?

It is important to start with informational blogs (guides, how to, definitions) not product reviews.

Hi - the first thing you need to think about is that cannabis is illegal in a lot of places, such as here in the UK. So, you have immediately limited your audience, and your site may even be blocked in some countries.

Plus, even where it is legal, you need to be of a certain age to use it, so your site may require an age verification gateway to stop people under age from accessing it.

And, if you were ever thinking of applying to Google AdSense, you would not be approved.

Next, you are pinning all your hopes on one affiliate program. What if you spend months working on your site and you are not approved? It's not guaranteed.

And remember, a niche is not a product, it is a subject that you can help people with. The majority of your content should be purely informational, with no selling intent, not be product-based and have no affiliate links.

As regards a Shopify store, how do you plan on getting traffic to it? That is the purpose of blog posts, they provide information that people are looking for and bring them to your website.

If all you are doing is adding a huge amount of product links, then you will be just another shop among the millions already out there and nobody will find you unless you pay for traffic.

Maybe you should rethink your niche. How about CBD, which is much more acceptable and there are lots of affiliate programs. And then find a target audience, such as CBD for stress, or CBD for pets.

Thanks for responding.
I didn't even think about the 21+ verification gateway. I should have 1 just to be safe.
Why is google AdSense a no-go?
What 1 affiliate program? As I've been researching there are at least a hundred companies that have affiliate programs in the cannabis industry.
I agree that the majority should be content, however, it is also one of the biggest problems I'm having right now.( What to write about, and repeating often.)
If i can't get traffic to this site, what is different about a shopify site. good point, Thank You.
P.S. the CBD ideas are pretty good too, again thanks

Hi - sorry, I misunderstood what you said. I thought by saying "that" company, you only had one affiliate program in mind.

As regards AdSense, as I mentioned, cannabis is illegal in many places, and AdSense will not work with sites that promote illegal activity.

Not sure if you know how AdSense works, but the ads they place on your site do not actually correspond with your content, they relate to what your visitor has searched for recently. Every visitor sees different ads.

So, if I visited your site, but I had previously been looking at car insurance, then the ads would relate to insurance.

And as you can imagine, a big car insurance company may not wish to be associated with a cannabis site.

So, Google might struggle to find advertisers who would be happy to be published on a site that would be considered illegal in many places.

You can start a blog, online store, or a services website and add a blog whereby you update it with regular posts to drive organic traffic to your shop, services website, or merchant's websites and stores.

The first thing that comes to mind is marketing.

With a shopify store, you still need to drive traffic to your store to entice visitors to purchase your wares.

Also with shopify store you can blog, update blog with posts to drive organic traffic to your store.

The other way is to take Google out of the equation, and do it by paid ads, however that can be very costly if you do not know what you are doing.

Also your niche need a specific subject focused on a qualified group of people who would be your target audience.

For example
CBD uses for beginners.

You're in the business of helping your target audience.

Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Were you able to get this to work now?

Yep I was right, I feel like a complete moron! It was very easy just staring me in the face. Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.

We all do those things. That's how we learn. You are not the only one.

Sorry, I realize that it's probably a stupid question about PayPal and such. I'm just very new to this entire online thing and especially PayPal. I've never had an account before and I just made one using the app and my mobile phone and tried to set it up on WA on my desktop but it keeps telling me that I need to enter a "valid PayPal Email" and I'm not totally sure as to what that is or looks like. Can someone help me with this?

No worries, I'd check again that it has been entered correctly.

Sometimes copying and pasting can add an additional letter to beginning or end, it is better to type it manually just to make sure.

If this persists please recheck via PayPal and also contact support

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Yes it has got to be xyz@[gmail].com for example or similar (email address you use to login to PayPal)

Not exactly what I meant. What I mean is, is it asking me what my authentic PayPal link is? Or is it asking for the email address that I have PayPal set up under? Can anyone show me what a "valid PayPal Email" looks like, by making one up or something like that? Is it the one that starts PayPal . me / or is it asking for the email address that I used to set up the PayPal account?

it is normally the email address that you use to log into your paypal account...
this is the one that you give out if you want anyone to add money to your paypal account...
