i would use something like blogjet and maybe even set up the emailing system for uploading your posts....
if you use word you may find the formatting changes when you add your post to your site or there are a load of bits in html which are unecessasry...

You can connect via mobile data to download or upload docs once done however it may take a while depending speed.
You may have access to a local library nearby you can log in to your WordPress site independently and do some work, upload docs edit etc.

But I'd collect and note my login credentials beforehand via site manager.

Reading your notes below you can always request from site support to do a staging site for you and for testing purposes.
You may also create a siterubix subdomain for same purpose, however in Settings > Reading you want to discourage search engines from indexing site.

If I be you I will write what I have in mind at that time and save it as a draft on your email, Gmail or any email you have. I do this sometimes I now I am without computer/laptop . Then when you have access the Internet you have your ideas already in place, just copy and add it I site content then add some images, links, etc and publish...
But that's just me.
