Hey Al, Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. I am a native New Yorker, Born in Woodside Queens and moved out to Holbrook Long Island when I was Eight years old. I currently reside in North Carolina but, I still have family on long Island. My suggestion is to choose a niche that you are passionate about. Pick something you enjoy to write about, because you will be blogging about it on a regular basis. There is a great amount of training about affiliate marketing in Wealthy Affiliate, but not a lot about picking a niche. There is some training on that subject, but Because it really comes down to a personal choice< it is something you need to decide. But I will give you how I chose my niche.
Who are you going to Serve? That is the big question. I expect you are trying to have client come to your webpage to either buy something or serve a need that your clients want answered. So the two questions that will help you pick a niche is Choose who you want to serve, and how are you going to help them.
#1 Choose a client demographic. Who are you going to serve?
You need to pick the people to serve, and be specific. Chose the group by Age, Gender, Income, Education, Family Life Cycle, Religion, or Socioeconomic Status. ex. Parents, 40 year old's, women, Baby boomers.
#2 your goal is something concrete they want and are willing to pay for. What do they want to buy? It cold be an item like a miniature Professional football helmet serving bowl, or an antique Cowboy belt buckle Lamp. Or, you can create a service that people want, like helping others reach retirement, or helping people become healthy and loose weight. So choose something that you enjoy doing and will help a specific group of people, solve a problem or fill a need. I hope this helps Al. If there is anything else I can help you with, Please let me know.
Best Regards,
Michael

That was helpful. I appreciate that.
Thanks

No problem. That is one of the hardest things to do, is pick a niche. But, once you pick one, every thing else is down hill from there. You will have some stumbling blocks along the way, and marketing will be an issue. but that is part of the journey. Give a shout if you need anything else.
Best regards,
Michael

Thanks again

Hello,

For WA referrals I usually modify the footer link and add Hosted by Wealthy Affiliate or WA Hosting where the copyright mark and Powered by is written.

Another idea is to add a few sentences in your about page and that you learned how to build and grow your blog on WA.

You might have a post of resources you use to build your business for others trying to do the same thing, but should not be front and center.

All your contents should be under the ONE niche, a website rule as explained by Abie and AJ.

I would not really think of it as a WA promotion but more of a footnote to help people find the resources you used, if they want to know.

Rupert.

Thanks a lot 👍🏽

Hi

You can host up to 10 (mix of siterubix subdomains and premiums totalling 10) as premium and up to 50 dot com premiums as a Premium Plus + member.

ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.

Promoting WA
That's $ sign top menu. Program details https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share

You may include in an About Me on your own niche site, a short paragraph describing some benefits of the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

Also check out below discussion

Which one of the three resonates best with you?

A niche subject is something you are passionate and genuinely interested in could be a hobby or an interest, and know so well you can write plenty original content about.

ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.

You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

When deciding on a niche try narrow it down to a more specific niche, you can ask yourself the following question:

So I want to help people with ____________________ ?

Fill in the blank and you are going to get closer to a specific audience. Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to cover another subcategory.

See example blog post below Meanwhile I'd ask as many questions as I want to get clarifications,

Welcome to WA and our community.

Abie & AJ

Thanks
