Hi there. You could perhaps read this post and see if it helps.

For now, just worry about including your keywords in the content you create. Just don't get too crazy.

Do i need to type the keywords in on posts for seo?

Google is moving towards an "encrypted" internet and they have stated that they are going to start rewarding websites that have SSL.

It is definitely more secure and Google is leading the way by making SSL a ranking factor. You can still rank without SSL very well, but as time goes on I think it is going to be necessary for good rankings (as we move into 2018).

I think it's because it helps your site be more secure or something.

I currently own a travel site that I've had since before i signed up to WA and was wondering if anyone had experience on how to encourage customers to book using the on site tr

You could place a banner as a widget on the side of your site and include an eye-catchy tagline to attract clicks. You can see this site as an example.

Other than creating high-quality content, another great way to gain more traffic is to share your content on social media more than anyone else - Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram.

One very efficient way to direct traffic to your site is to create a profile on Quora. Spend some time answering questions that people post. Write good and detailed answers on Quora and direct readers to your site. I find it efficient. Remember not to spam, else your answer will be removed.

Hope it helps.

The one thing great about having a website is that it becomes universally available to anyone in a free world. Getting visitor to your website to do it work. Here are some ideas that come to my mine and I'm sure there are more:

First of all, always include a link to your website when every you add any comments to where ever.

- Join travel Forums and chat with folks where you can contribute
- advertise in travel magazines
- network with those in the Travel industry
- think creating a discount coupon that will give prospects
a reason to hang on to your name ...
- May be add a referral line on the coupon indicating additional
discounts if they have your card and refers someone else.
- Carry lots of your cards and give them out to folks on the
street who obviously look like tourists
- Get a magnetic panel for your business w/ phone and URL
listed on it.
- Make and distribute T-Shirts

Hope this helps..

Ive been searching for keywords for my travel site to create blog posts and although the competition is low when i search in google it brings up hundreds of thousands of pages,

Great question Alex, I learnt a bit from the discussion it generated.

Google does not want to show the “real” quoted search results when you try and use quotation marks to find a number of competing websites. Google stopped showing the exact match of a search term since 2010. This is why Jaaxy comes in handy because it finds it for you.

QSR on Jaaxy is short for “Quoted Search Results” and the number shown indicates how many other websites are competing for that particular keyword. When you find a keyword you like you should ideally aim for a keyword to have less than 100 QSR (100 competing websites). This ensures that your chances of ranking on page one are increased drastically because they are low hanging fruit keywords.

You can read Kyle's blog on QSR here.

Hope it helps.

Thank you! Ill have a look

If you want to compare the results from Jaaxy and Google, you have to put your keyword in " " when using Google search.

Without quotation marks, Google gives you results for all possible combinations of that keyword.

Thanks for your help!
