Pulling my spinning wheels out of the mud

I got to Course 2, Lesson 7 almost 2 weeks ago. I had some great keywords that fit the low-hanging fruit criteria, so I wrote an entire post and then began to have doubts about what I had written.

What I realized was that I had defined my niche a bit too broadly and my post was even going outside the boundaries of that wider niche. As a result, I had to step back and do some more investigation of my niche. Then I had to narrow down the scope of what I wanted to do. I studied other WA websites and did some research within the knowledge base of WA to answer a few questions that were rolling around in my head.

Finally, I feel ready to move ahead again. It's been a bit frustrating, of course, because I want to keep moving ahead.

Mixed in with all this, and perhaps part of the reason why I got thrown off mentally, is that my job ended two weeks ago and for the first time in 41 years I am unemployed, meaning zero income. Fortunately, I am in a position that I can continue with WA while continuing to search for new, temporary (WA is my long-term work) income.

With all your help, my wheels are back on solid ground and I've put my business vehicle in drive again.

The key is that you kept on going and you worked right through it. Maybe you weren't moving forward as fast as you would have liked, but you were moving forward step by step. Now you will be able to make more progress. Christa :)

Good job, Allyn! It's all about the tweaking and refining and polishing. Now move forward confidently knowing we've got your back.

Hi Allyn,
If you are unemployed and in the UK, I am just wondering whether you would be eligible for a new business grant. That said, I think that they require applicants to complete a traditional business plan etc. It might be worth looking in to. Just a thought.
All the best,
Brandon

Good thought. I'm not in the UK, however. Did I type something incorrectly (it's certainly a possibility)? I'm in the US, in Texas.

Hi Allyn,
I assumed you were British, I think because, in some way I can't explain, you somehow look British in your photograph. Being in the UK, I see a lot of British faces! Perhaps they might have a similar biz grant in Texas?
All the best,
Brandon

keep rollin'

Yes Allyn, sometimes a shift in perspective is needed. 3 days ago I scrapped 2 websites,I decided to focus on promoting WA, now I,m moving much faster towards my goals. My best wishes to you. Jon

I've heard others say that they learned a lot about building their website from doing the Affiliate Bootcamp training. I got stuck realizing there was so much I wasn't understanding about Wordpress and other aspects of the website. It took a bit to work through it. Thanks for your encouragement.

Allyn, I'm glad to hear about your progress, & always happy to help.Jon

That's kind of the way it happens sometimes; I know, to me too. It sounds like you are doing a good job of moving forward steadily; that's the important thing. Good luck!

Thanks Shell. I'm sure this won't be the last time I get stuck for a few days!
