So if I were to add a category, would any new post I create go under that category then? Until I made another new category So that when anyone visits my site and clicks a categ

Hi,

Okay so lets say you made a category for your site called "great deals". That will allow you to put related posts into that category if you want. As an example let's say you write a post about "discount iPods".

In the WordPress editor the default category that will be checked when you write your posts is "uncategorized". If you put your post into your "great deals" category a neat thing happens. Your post will be nested under the "great deals" category and WordPress will automatically create a page for it.

Your new page "great deals" will be visible in your menu and any posts that you put under that category will be nested within it.

Okay that makes sense! Thank you!

Thanks ThisChick, that definitely helped me with this headache. I didn't realize that I could just use category instead of page! you seriously just saved me an hour of fooling around this with- You have been followed!

My website is based around beauty.. Would I be able to post links to tutorials etc.. or would i need permission? thanks!

I agree

Most YouTube videos are public and you can use them without asking permission. Read the information about the video you want to post, however. If the author states that you need permission, then you must ask first.

MarionBlack has a nice training piece on embedding YouTube videos. It's found at .

Thank you for your help! (:

Yes that is true, but if the owner doesn't want you to use their video even if given credit then that could cause some problems, so I would suggest emailing the owner even if you decide to use the video.

Unless it's your own I would suggest email the owner of the video asking for permission yes.

Okay, I will! thank you so much!
