Back in the Saddle Again

Roy Rogers had a great song depicting the idea of comfort in things that are known and feel like home. I want that feeling once again. To better understand: to those who remember that my husband died four years ago, and yet may not know how it put me in the thicket, with the wolves, frogs, bubbling waters, stick people, and brain fog. Much worse than Halloween, because it wouldn't go away. I couldn't bring him back into my life. I was devastated beyond anything reasonable. Of course, there are those of you who imagine that you could do better or others that ask, what was that all about? I have no answer. Each person deals with death in a different way. I crashed!

A new day is on the horizon, and I must reach out and grab the opportunity to gain the confidence back that I once had, to develop my site again, "go about doing well" and riding that Palamino pony in my mind once again, singing 'Back in the saddle again.' 'Don't fence me in' I am radiating energy."

Hi Christie
As a widower myself (remarried) I understand. It's good to hear that you're beginning the next stage in your life. I'm sure you'll never forget, but it will become easier over time.

I think my biggest challenge was finding my own future outcomes and planning for them without my ex. It took a few years.
:-)

Yes, that is where I am now. Planning my future outcomes.

Thank you Jeff. I'm back to re-learning what my brain erased, through my sorrow. A little at a time and then zoom!

It will all come back to you, Christie!
