I have the AIOSEO program. In the training class on SEO, the author is using a different SEO program. My SEO has a wizard for setting up. I followed the instructions in the wiz

Hi

You do not need to follow the wizard.

AIO SEO > General Settings > Webmaster tools tab > Add the “whole code” to the miscellaneous verification section and save changes.

Then I go here http://gachecker.com/ verify my tracking code is working.

Tutorials Hope this helps.

WA recommends the SEO framework.

However if you are already using AIOSEO, then you can carry on using. as perhaps you may want to have a new niche site, you may then use the SEO framework, save messing up site (Kyle's recommendation).

You may want to install Google Analytics if not done so already.

The Seo framework

https://theseoframework.com/docs/
https://theseoframework.com/docs/seo-data-migration/ You can use the Ad Inserter plugin, as you do not want to edit your themes files directly as you will lose your changes when the theme updates or if you change your theme. How to insert code for Google Analytics

I would agree that it sounds like AIOSEO is asking for Google Analytics verification code.

Just so you know WA has n=migrated very recently to the SEO Framework plugin now so you could try it if you choose instead of All in one SEO.

SEO Framework Plugin How To Set it up.

There needs to be more information as I don't recall AIOSEO needing to be verified. What version are you using; free or pro? Did you allow it to install Monster Insights?

yes to both. I see on the verify page it asks to download a google link then upload that link to my website. That's fine except It doesn't tell you HOW to upload the link?

You get the link from Google Analytics and it has to go into the header on all your posts. You only have to enter it manually once if you get it right. Try getting Site Support to drop it into place, they will do it if not busy.

it sounds like you may be missing the google analytics verification code....
but at the bottom of the wizard is a 'go back to dashboard'
which means you then can go through each section and set them up as you want to...
or check out this training it did change a bit after hte training was made but is a lot closer than the currect training...
i hope you get it sorted
