The "2019 Black Friday" sales figures are in ....
In the United States, Black Friday sales topped a record $7.4 billion, up nearly 20% over 2018!
The share of transactions, originating from a Smartphones, was 39%, a significant jump of 21%, over the 2018 share.
The total, is just shy of last years "Cyber Monday" sales of $7.9 billion, which may amount to nearly $10 billion this year, assuming the same 20% increase in sales.
The continuing trend towards "smartphone shopping" emphasizes the need to ensure your website is tweaked to ensure it is configured for mobile devices! If not, customers may simply bypass your site and move on and you lose out on a significant portion of the weekend online sales of nearly $20 Billion!
Tweak your images and layout to ensure it is maxized for mobile use ...

I had just heard a story on the news this morning that over 50% of the Black Friday sales were from smartphones. It could be that the news was overinflated but whatever the number, making your site mobile friendly is extremely important.

The stats are likely from different sources but in any case the number is very significant ... it is not something that can be ignored any longer.

I agree with you but nowadays, I am too busy to go out shopping and I personally do not like going out to stores because of the crowds and many times they don't offer what I'm looking for. Just as an example: for my peripheral neuropathy my doctor recommended I include a certain vitamin called Nicotinamide, but I couldn't find it in any of the local health or vitamin stores, so I hard to resort to buying it directly from the manufacturer online.
Most of the time, I use my smartphone to research and buy things online because it's just so damn easy.
Now it's time for me to write some content and do some training.
